Selection practices: Candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2013. Based on the GATE-2013 Marks and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

BPCL: BPCL is a Fortune 500, leading Navratna Public Sector Company in the exciting and dynamic energy sector, engaged in Refining, Marketing and Distribution of Petroleum products and also in exploration of Oil / Gas, with an annual turnover of over 2,50,649 crores for the year 2012-13.

Recruitment practices: It recruits young, energetic, ambitious Graduate Engineers in the field of

“Mechanical Engineering” & “Chemical Engineering” for the post of “Management Trainee”.

Mechanical & Chemical Engineers desirous of pursuing a career with BPCL are required to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Selection Practices:

GATE SCORE for Shortlisting, followed by different stages like Group Discussion, personal Interview, psychometric tests, pre-employment medical examination etc.

The process of candidates in Bharat Petroleum Corporation limited depends upon the performance of the candidate in various rounds like written round, medical and interview round.

Written round: This round will be an online round. In this round the candidate is given multiple choice questions depending on various streams like chemical, mechanical, electrical. Those candidates who are selected in this round will undergo the further rounds of placement process of BPCL.

Medical round: In this round the candidate is passed through the medical checkups like eye side test, blood pressure, and many other test . The candidates those who will be selected from this round will further undergo for the last round of placement process of BPCL.

Interview round: In this round the candidate will be judged on the basis of technical knowledge, confidence, body language and communication skills .In this round the candidate will have face to face interaction with the HR and will be judge on the above mentioned factors.

SELECTION METHODOLOGY: Based on scrutiny of the on-line application, suitable candidates will be

called for personal interview/s. Candidates short-listed in personal interview/s will be required to undergo medical examination. The final selection / Offer of

Employment will be based on the candidate’s performance in Personal Interview, Work Experience, being declared as Medically Fit by BPCL designated Physician and subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria,

as applicable.
