one object• Usually end in an “s”• Examples?• Books, kids, chips, birds• Can you think of any examples of

plural nouns that do not end in an “s”?

Adjective• Describes a noun• The large dog.• The yellow bird.• Examples?

Verb• A verb is something you can physically do• Word that expresses an action• Run, jump, sleep, talk• Other examples?

Adverb• Describes a verb• Usually end in “ly”• Running = quickly running• Slept = quietly slept• Examples?
