Remove the magazine and double check the chamber to make sure that no rounds are in the rifle. 1) Remove the stock front sight. Do this by first loosening the metal screw from the nut with a Phillips screw driver. The screw and nut are located inside the clear plastic windage screws. Turn the screw counterclockwise until it is no longer threaded into the metal nut on the opposing side. Remove the metal screw and nut and place them aside in a safe place. If needed, use a small punch to help the screw out. 2) Using a ¼ inch allen wrench, turn one clear plastic screw counterclockwise a few rotations. 3) Remove the stock front sight. 4) Insert the Tandemkross Sub2000 Front Sight into the assembly as shown in the picture on the left. 5) Line up the small window (outlined in red in the picture on the right) with the holes in the clear plastic windage screws as shown. Gently tighten the clear plastic windage screw that you loosened previously to lightly hold the front sight in place as shown in the bottom left picture. 6) Replace the metal screw on one side and the nut on the other. Tighten them together until the front sight is secure. For windage and elevation adjustments, follow the instructions in your Sub 2000 owner’s manual. *To replace the fiber optic rod, very quickly melt one end of it with a lighter and slide it from back to front through the front sight. It should not be able to be pressed all the way through if melted sufficiently. Hold the rifle so that the barrel is pointing towards the ground and while using a lighter, melt the other side of the fiber optic rod very quickly so that it stays in place.

Attention: Before you begin, be certain that the firearm is clear and safe.
