(5 minutes) Facilitating Set
Teacher recalls back the students about human digestive system which started from mouth and end with anus.
Then teacher asks students question about the digestive system in other living organism.
Teacher’s question:- Yesterday we have learnt about
human digestive system. How about other organisms? Is it same with human digestive system, periya?
Students answer the teacher’s question correctly.
Teacher tells the students that today they will learn about the digestion of food in ruminants and rodents.
Slide power point, CD Rom, projector, whiteboard, marker pen

(35 minutes) Teacher explain to the students that ruminant and rodents both are herbivores.
Therefore the main nutrient they can get from plant is carbohydrates such grass which contain cellulose
Teacher explain the parts of organ in ruminants and rodents part that involve in digestive system
Teacher explain the digestion process that occur in ruminants and rodents.
Teacher show the animation to the students on how the digestion process occur in ruminants and rodents .
Students take notes Slide power point, video, CD Rom, whiteboard, marker pen
(20 minutes) Teacher and students discuss in compare and contrasting between human, ruminants and rodents.
Teacher do a short quiz about the digestive system in ruminants and rodents.
Students take note Students listen to their friends
when they answer the quiz and take note.
Whiteboard, three color envelopes with questions, CD Rom, projector
Students those want to answer the question need to raise up their hand.
If they answer correctly, they will get 1 merit. But if they answer wrongly, the question is open to the other students.

from three different color of envelope.
Teacher will read the question and the group need to answer in 10 second. The correct answer will get 2 marks, while the wrong answer will be deduct 1 mark and the question open to the other groups.
The other groups try to guess the answer by raise up their hand.
If they can answer correctly, they will get 1 mark.
From the game, the students will actually revised what they have learnt for strengthen their knowledge.
