CENTER OFEXCELLENCE NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS - MVJCE

MVJCE collaborated with National Instruments for establishing a Centre of Excellence on LabVIEW. This Partnership helps students to develop projects and conduct research, besides providing hands-on experience through which they can learn the ropes of the industry.

ROBOTICS AND INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

MVJCE – CoE in Robotics and Industrial Automation was established in 2016. The centre is well equipped with advanced equipment like 3D printer, PCB printing machine, Microcontroller development boards, processor boards, mechanical tools etc., that help students to implement their innovative ideas. The training and research activities in this centre focus on 3D modelling, PCB Design, new generation mechatronics systems, autonomous robots, algorithm designs and embedded systems.

THE PLACEMENT CELL:EASING THE PROCESS OF TRANSITION TO THE WORKPLACE.

This Cell helps students achieve ‘employability’ through intensive training across eight semesters, from industry experts Top companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, SAP, Musigma, AT&T, IBM, Capgemini, Swelect, Eurofins, HP, Deltax, Quest Global, SLK Software, L&T, Neudesic have been consistently recruiting our students, with over 90% placement results every year. Salaries range from 3 lakhs to 27.7 lakhs per annum.

IIT BOMBAY SPOKEN TUTORIAL: MVJCE has been identified as Nodal Centre for IIT Bombay – Spoken Tutorial, supported by NMEICT, MHRD, and Gov-ernment of India. Over 4,000 MVJCE students have cleared the test of IIT Bombay – Spoken Tutorial, since 2018. The Spoken Tutorial Cell at MVJCE is authorized to organize workshops anywhere in India. At present we are training students on various software packages and programming languages like LaTeX, Scilab, PHP/MySQL, Linux, Libre O�ce, C/C++, Java etc. The learning technologies available under this centre are open to all branches of Engineering.

IEEE STUDENT BRANCHThe Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest professional Engineering society. It is a matter of great pride for us that our Student Branch received the Outstanding Small Student Branch Award, in 2018. A Student Branch gives students the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students as well as faculty members and professionals in the field. Student Branch activities o�er to students the numerous educational, technical and profes-sional advantages of IEEE.

VIRTUAL LABSThe Virtual Labs platform has gained a new found growth in mapping the practical subjects of the curriculum. MVJCE is the nodal centre of Virtual Labs initiated by MHRD. MVJCE hosts the maximum number of webinar sessions for varied audience groups comprising of students and faculty, covering di�erent subject areas, thus contributing to the outreach mission and thereby helping a broader pool of students to utilize the VLab platform in filling the gaps in experiential learning.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL (EDC)Entrepreneurship Development Cell aims to support and boost the e�orts of budding entrepreneurs, and transform them into successful entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship Development Cell helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable businesses. This Cell cultivates a rare breed of entrepreneurs by incubating, accelerating, mentoring and funding innovative start-ups.

TOASTMASTER’S CLUBMVJCE Toastmasters Club is the 10th New Club of District 92, for the year 2020 – 2021. Constant e�orts of students and pre-charter meetings of the student members of the club kept the momentum going even amidst the pandemic, especial-ly in a virtual environment, and the students played a huge role to bring the club on board. MVJCE’s Toastmasters Club has the opportunity to reach International level, which is the peak level of Toastmaster’s Contest.

TOMORROW’S ENGINEERS CLUBThe Tomorrow’s Engineers Club provides opportunities for students to interact with peers from various domains, and develops team spirit, leadership and practical skills. The motive of the Club is to make the participants understand the objectives of an Engineer. An Engineer has to think out-of-the-box and complement engineering principles with knowl-edge in mathematics and basic sciences, to solve open ended problems that have societal impact.

MVJCE - TINKERING LABAt MVJ College of Engineering, students are encouraged to innovate and discover the joy of creation. This activity is facili-tated through the Tinkering Lab. Tinkering lab is the hub of innovation where young minds accelerate their ideas to solve problems.

UAV LABThe UAV Lab enables the students to get hands-on understanding of Aeronautical Engineering. The Club conducts work-shops that help students fabricate model aircrafts. In the UAV Lab, our students have created many models of di�erent types via Quad copters, Hex copters and fixed wing aircrafts.

TEDxMVJCEMVJCE has received licence from TEDx, named TEDxMVJCE. Under this license, MVJCE held events like TEDxMVJCE COUNTDOWN. The topic COUNTDOWN, was a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action.

Students should have passed II PUC/l2th Standard or equivalent examination, with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science, with English as one of the languages of study.

Management quota students should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60%, and Karnataka CET quota students 45%, in the above-mentioned subjects.

In case of candidates from Karnataka, belonging to Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe and other backwards classes (Cat-egory - 1, 2A. 2B. 3A and 3B), such students should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 40% of marks in the above-mentioned subjects.

Students should have cleared any one of the entrance tests conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka or Govt. of India (CET, COMEDK, AMPCK, JEE)
