AIM:Developing an application as a recorder for managing personal skincare cosmetic products.
Target users are around 18-35ago, beauty-lover, mostly are female and some are male.
They have ability to buy their own consumer goods, including skincare and cosmetic products, and have experienced of storing the
expired products as they do not notice. Shopping and refill their stores are their habits. Most of them are lack of self-motivated and
they may forgot what they have bought and where they have put, and even those expired date.
This application can help them only not record on their purchased items and also with reminder for the expired products.
Users can have the check-list of their home items while they are in outdoor.
It can bring them more convenience on management of their own products.

BRIEF
PROBLEM STATEMENT:They may experience these problems daily, monthly and yearly. Most of them have found they have at least 3 expired products at home.
50% people choose to throw the expired items aways, and other 50% people are willing to keep to consume them.
They realize the important of self-management on over shopping and they are willing to improve this behaviors. Unfortunately,
they have no ideas or they are willing to ignore on managing their collections. Some of them can’t self-control their over-shopping problems and
keep their room with more products. Money-wasting, environmental problems have happened. Some of them feel quility and want
to reduce the waste.
Through this project at developing an App which can encourage these users to record their collections and help them save their money. Be
responsible on their wasting problems towards developing their self-motivation on managing their goods.

USER INTERVIEW:Built a online-questionnaire for 29 people finally and mainly focus on asking their behaviors. After the result collected, select some of them on face-to-face interview for asking the deeper questions and analyse what they need actually.

Age: 27Skincare Experience: over 7 years
“My bedroom looks like a skincare cosmetic museum. I wonder this application can record and count the total what I have spent.”
Behavior:She normally uses skincare products more than cosmetic products as she works as beautician need to wear mask on her face for professional.
She is used to purchase the products which are introduced by her friends or colleagues.
Both of physical store and online store she also visit and check the bargain price. Usually use mobile phone to search what the recent new items and bargained items.
Most products which she is willing to purchase are under promotion, but some of them are well-known products and she is willing to pay even those are expensive, e.g. over $1000 for a piece of item.
She likes shopping and she keeps to spend average of $2000 on skincare cosmetic products each month.
Narratve:She and her colleagues usually group to share skincare cosmetic skills and even products. She is willing share to her friends she have bought and kept many skincare cosmetic products at her home, but she never count the actual numbers she have as she feels headache to bring them out to count.
In her leisure time, she picks some collections to take a look and discover most of them are expired and some of them she forgot when she has bought.
Pain Points:She feels upset on the expired products and she have to throw them away.
She feels she waste money and guilty for environmental problems.
She feels difficulty to manage her collection’s information and wonder how much she have spent on those previous items.
Goals & Needs:She always mentions herself to stop purchase until she finished the current items, as specially on the similar products, and concern are those she really needs.
Managing the information of her purchased, mainly record the prices as she would know how much she has spent.
Thinking this application can notice her before the items expired.

“Happy buy things, unhappy buy things. Lazy on facial care and also manage them. I just collect them. If it’s self-recording, I will try to use.”
Behavior:She has experienced to buy skincare and cosmetic products, but only for purchase-satisfaction and she is lazy to use them and she always forgot the usage steps.
She likes shopping and she uses to buy over 3-4 same brand same products for back-up in her storage.
One her numerous collections, she always forgot their existance and no notice more of them are expired.
Narratve:She has picked the expired products to use as she has not noticed, and causes sensitive skin.
One times, placed the expired eye-cream, her eyes are nearly damaged.
She is so courageous and positive, but lazy on facial care.
Pain Points:She feels aweful after used the expired products.
She feels annoying of numerous of sales’s suggestions.
Goals & Needs:No prefer to use the expired products again.
She mentions herself buy what she need instead of shopping a lot of producs for storage.
It is better the application can automatically record the data of what she bought and count how much she spent.

“Privacy is important. It is interesting to record skincare products but must be in private.”
Behavior:She usually buy medical skincare products as she needs to use the quality products.
She has not more cosmetic products.
She usually spend less than $1000 per month for purchase.
She is not used to share her skincare experience and even the brands of products, as she thinks those are her privacy.
She minds other people oreven friends to know what she is using. She is worried they will sneer her for too expensive or too cheaper products, too famous or too unknown brands.
Narratve:Once she purchased some products, she must open and use them immediately.
She has collected a numerous of products are expired and she almost ignores them althought she knew she has over 10 pieces that are expired.
Pain Points:She feels messy and headache on her collection and she rather ignore them as she has no time to manage them.
Goals & Needs:It is sound interesting that application can record the price, using date and expired date.
She needs it for private usage and she won’t share her own to others.
She wonders this application with the function for recording how much she has bought in a beauty shop and give discount for the next purchase.

CONTENT STRATEGY
MAIN PAGE This is the first page after login and with the stable content for each pages:
1. add item functions (take photo and scan barcode)
2. menu (reminder page, list page, purchase report and social page)
Home - Remind one item which are the most about to expire. It also shows the stages of all items in the whole year or month. The icon of fresh flower or not which represents to the stages of the items are about to expire or not.
Result - Information of the products show, e.g. brand name, product name, the date of best before and day left. Users can choose to restock or delete this item.
LIST PAGEList all items in category. Users can sort and filter what they need to see.
PURCHASE REPORTSummary of the money spent and sort by month or year. Users can find how much did they spend on that period.
SOCIALFor users to share their recorded item or click to recommend to public and get news pf beauty trends.

The spiral concept is interesting and creative, but too abstract to me and it is different to classify the openedowers and unopened owers as they looks similar.
I prefer it has a record of how much I have spent, maybe by month or years.
It is good to have a pathform to read people’s shares, I then can get the some nethen can get the some news of beauty trends from others.
