INVITATION We take great pleasure to cordially invite you and your member to participate in the 4th BHAGWAN MAHAVEER OPEN NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Our Main Objective is to promote friendship and enhance good will among the Taekwondo

Fraternity and to exchange views on the latest development in Taekwondo. We want to provide our

young Taekwondo athletes exposure to the International arena, where they can compete and

interact among the top Taekwondo athletes from around the India.

We are inviting Clubs, States and National team to participate. We expect a total

participation of 1000-1200 participants

This championship is a platform to increase and enhance the National

Taekwondo movement in Rajasthan as well as to showcase our rich Rajasthan

culture and heritage to the India. I hope that you will extend our invitation to

all clubs/academy under your respective Member State Association.

POOMSAE EVENT: Sub Junior( 7-11 Years) (born between Jan1, 2007 and Dec31,2010)

Cadet / U14 (12 – 14 Years) (born between Jan 1, 2004 and Dec 31, 2006)

Junior (15 – 17 Years) (born between Jan 1, 2001 and Dec 31, 2003)

Under 30 (18 years old – 30 years old) (born between Jan 1, 1988 and Dec 31, 2000)

Under 40 (31 years old – 40 years old) (born between Jan 1, 1978 and Dec 31, 1987)

Over 40 (40 years old & Above) (born before Jan 1, 1978)


POOMSAE RECOGNISE POOMSAE 1) Two (2) Poomsae from designated Compulsory Poomsae decided for each division must be performed for the first and final rounds for all competitions.

2) Cut-off system a. First round: in case 9 or more contestants/pairs/teams are participating, the competition shall start from the first round. After performing two (2) assigned Compulsory Poomsae, the top 8 shall advance to final based on thepoints.

b. Final round: when 8 or less contestants/pairs/teams are participating, competition shall start from final round. Contestants shall perform two assigned Compulsory Poomsae, and top four (4) contestants/pairs/teams shall be awardedbased on the points. Bronze medals shall be given to the 3rd and the 4thcontestants/pairs/teams.

9. DISCIPLINE All officials and participants should strictly observe the decorum of World Taekwondoand the rules & regulations of competition.

10. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS Shall be appointed by rajasthan taekwondo association (RTA) in consultation with Taekwondo federation of india(TFI). All participating State are allowed to nominate oneIR/NR. .


11. AWARD PRESENTATIONS

MEDAL & TROPHIES :-

i. Medals will be awarded to the winners of each weight category - 1 gold, 1 silver & 2 bronze medals

ii. GrandChampions:-

The Grand Champion Trophy will be awarded to the overall champion.

The Grand Champions shall be the team who win the most number of gold medals (Only categories with a minimum of four participants will be included in the various medal tallies).

iii. Certificate of participation will be given to each participant and a certificate ofachievement will be awarded to each winner.

12. INDEMNITIES It shall be the responsibility of the participants and teams to have validly completed the participation forms, indemnifying, State TaekwondoAssocition, Taekwondo Federation of india (TFI), the Sponsors, the Organizing Committee, its officials and other contestants from any claims of injuries, losses, fatal or otherwise, arising in the course of participation in these championships. All participants under the age of 18 must have the consent form signed by their parents / guardians

1. Official Weigh in will be held from 02.00 pm to 8.00 pm on the 31st of MAY 2018.

2. Trial weigh-in will commence from 1.00pm till 1.59pm.

3. The weigh in shall be conducted in the same competitionvenue.

20. ENTRIES CLOSING DATE Entries will close at 8:30.00 pm.31st of mayor when the maximum of 1500 entries is reached, whichever comes first.

Teams are also advised that there will be no refunds should there be any cancellations / withdrawals / disqualifications.
