Travelling by Car: Southampton is 75 miles (120km) from London. The M3, M27 and A34 provide fast, direct access while the A36 is the main route to the West Country, Bristol and Wales. From the M3 – exit at Junction 14, following signs for Southampton (A33). Follow the A33 into Bassett Avenue and follow the map/signs to the University Campus. From the M27 (west or east) – leave the M27 at Junction 5 (Southampton Airport) and follow the A35 into Burgess Road. Follow the map/signs to the University Campus. Travelling by Train: Trains run from London Waterloo Station to Southampton every 30 minutes, with a journey time of just over one hour. There are two stations in Southampton – Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway – the closest to the University being Airport Parkway, which is about 2 miles away. The Uni-link bus service runs from both Southampton Central (service U1A) and Southampton Airport Parkway Station (service U1C) to the Interchange bus stop on the main Highfield University Campus, or you can take a taxi. A taxi should cost no more than £10. There is a bus every 10 minutes during the main part of the day. Train times and prices can be found at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ Travelling by Air: Southampton International Airport (off Junction 5 of the M27) is about 10 minutes away from Highfield Campus by bus (Uni-link) or taxi. There is a full UK domestic service. A taxi should cost no more than £10. Travelling by Coach: National Express (http://nationalexpress.com/) provides regular services from central London, Heathrow, Birmingham, Bournemouth and the North. Southampton coach station is at Harbour Parade, in the city centre, although some coaches stop at the University. Uni-link buses connect the city centre to Highfield Campus, or you can take a taxi. Uni-link Bus Service: A bus service called Uni-link operates between the University and surrounding area. A single fare costs £2.00 and an All-Day unlimited travel ticket costs £3.50. Unilink buses accept all contactless payment types, including apple and android - as well as wearable devices like apple watch. For timetables and maps, see http://www.unilinkbus.co.uk Traveling by Taxi: There are taxi ranks throughout the City Centre and immediately adjacent to the main railway, coach station and airport. Check-in:

Check in at Glen Eyre Halls is from 8:00 onwards on Monday 4th September. Keys can be collected at the 24 hour Central Reception Point marked on the map above. Rooms must be vacated by 09:30 on Friday 8th September, and keys returned to Central Reception. A charge will be made for any keys that are not returned.

If you plan to bring a car, it is not possible to park at Glen Eyre Halls. You can drop off your belongings but would need to move your car to the Highfield Campus, a 10 minute walk away. A parking permit is required for the Visitor Car Park at Highfield Campus. Parking permits must be requested in advance by emailing [email protected]. The permits are electronic and will be e-mailed to you when issued. Please note that space in the visitor car park is limited and availability may not be guaranteed, for which reason you are advised to make a request as soon as possible. There is also a Pay and Display Car Park available https://www.southampton.ac.uk/transport/parking/pay-and-display-parking.page

Use of the sports facilities at the Jubilee Sports Hall on the main Highfield Campus is possible at the normal entrance rates.

Catering: Breakfast will be served from 08:15 in the Piazza, Building 42 from Tuesday morning onwards. Social Events: A sandwich lunch will be provided on Monday in Building 56 where registration will also take place. A social event will take place from 7.15pm on the Monday evening. The main dinner will be on Thursday evening. For dinner on the Tuesday and Wednesday, you are welcome to make your own arrangements. A list of suggested restaurants will be provided upon registration. No facilities for dining will be available at the Halls. Guest User IDs: A guest user id and password will be provided to each delegate at registration. This will allow access to workstations around the Highfield Campus. There are also workstations within the Glen Eyre Complex.
