The Rosary has resumed in the Church on Mondays at 7 pm, as well as Tuesdays-Fridays at

8 am. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Before he gave his body and blood on the cross for the salvation of the whole world, Jesus gave his body and blood to his disciples in the form of bread and wine, instructing them to continue this practice in memory of him. Like

the LORD providing water and manna in the desert, Jesus provides food and drink to sustain us, taking it one step further by transforming it to his own Body and Blood. As we receive the Eucharist today, let us realize the sustenance we are given. May the Eucharist we share today strengthen and enliven us as we bring Jesus with us to the world.

CORPUS CHRISTI

Planning to be married in the Church?

Please contact the parish office at least 6 months in advance. It is imperative that you meet with Father before setting a wedding date or reserving a reception venue. Call for

an appointment at 979-297-3041.

Dear Parish Family,

Today we are celebrating the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is so much that we could reflect on this feast. Perhaps the word 'presence' might help us. In the person of Jesus, God became present to us in a totally new way. And Jesus promised us that He would always remain present to us even till the end of time. Jesus is truly and really present in the Eucharist and offers that presence to us. We in turn are asked to bring that loving presence to one another. However, our awareness of God and one another or the lack of it, will help or hinder our entering in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. If we never prayed or thanked God for His gifts that we always receive, then our awareness of His presence in our lives will probably not very high as we enter the church doors. But on the other hand, if we try to have prayer and reflection as a natural part of our lives, then when we walk through those doors, it will be like a homecoming. Our Sunday celebration will be a natural conclusion to what has been going on in our lives.

God's presence in us and our being present to one another should remind us that we all belong to one family, all brothers and sisters, united by our Lord Jesus Himself. Peace, Father Dwight

Prayer in the Time of Coronavirus

Comfort us, O Lord, for we are like your disciples on the storm tossed seas, unsettled by what lies ahead. We turn to You, our Healer and Guide, to still our hearts in our time of need and hear our prayer:

Heal those who are sick with the coronavirus and protect the elderly and most vulnerable. Give strength to all who tend to our health and wisdom to researchers who work toward a cure.

Open our eyes and hearts, as you did during Hurricane Harvey, that we may look beyond our immediate needs to care for others who need help.

Through the Holy Spirit, guide our leaders to make wise decisions for the welfare of all the people they serve. Grant eternal rest to those who have died from the virus.

May Mary, Our Mother, who has heard our pleas in the storms of our lives, Intercede to her Son, that we may find healing and a prompt end to this illness.

Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us.

Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, heal us.

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most
