ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL

The Arnold Sports Festival was founded in 1989 by former California Governor Arnold

Schwarzenegger and his partner Jim Lorimer Worthington, Ohio.

It is the largest multi-sports event in the United States with about 20.000 athletes competing in 45

diferents sports, including 12 Olympic sports. In 2012, the Arnold Sports Festival attracted 175.000

people, making the attendance record during the four day event. In 2014 was held the 26th edition

in Columbus, Ohio.

The other countries that receiving this sporting event are: Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Spain (Madrid) and

Australia (Sydney) in 2015.

In addition to the sports of the fair consists of the Arnold Fitness Expo, with 700 booths. The

companies in the fitness industry takes advantage of the Arnold fair to disseminate and releases of

their products, thus adding more value to their brand.

EVENT IN BRAZIL

The Arnold Classic Brazil in its 1st edition was a complete success, confirmed in the 2nd edition and

showing that this segment is being valued and growing more and more.

One of the disputed sport is KARATE. Organized by Maça Azul Comunicação who took up the

challenge and held since 2013 the OPEN INTERNATIONAL KARATE ARNOLD CLASSIC BRAZIL.

Now in its third edition, the event has become the technical and quality reference for this modality in

Brazil. Adding new ideas and technology, this competition occurs at a high technical level, providing a

true spectacle to the public meeting and supporters struggles in general.

All the athletes will find an excellent infrastructure, necessary to enable them to play their best on

the tatame and get their place on the podium.

Referees are also reminded, with a quality and dynamic structure to reach perfection, clarity and

judgment necessary for the event performance.

In the 3rd edition in 2015, we expect about 500 athletes and about 5-10 participating countries as

well as athletes of Brazil during the two days of competition.

We invite your esteemed Country, State, City or Club to participate in the 3rd OPEN INTERNATIONAL

KARATE ARNOLD CLASSIC BRAZIL, which will be held on 27, 28 and 29 May 2015, with 27 weighing

and technical categories held in the gymnasium of School of Physical Education of the Army (EsEFEx),

28 only the Senior categories (kata and kumite) in the gymnasium of the EsEFEx, and the categories

12-17 years and Master will be held in Rio Convention Center - Salvador Allende Avenue, 6555 - Barra

da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The first open event of the country with seal Panamerican Karate Federation (PKF) and the

International Karate Open Arnold Classic Brazil, is part of the Brazilian Karate Confederation (CBK)

Circuit giving the opportunity of ponctuate national athletes within the International ranking event

score.

The event will be held with the support of PKF, Sulamerican Karate Confederation (CSK), CBK, Rio de

Janeiro State Karate Federation (FKERJ), Sport Federation of the Deaf State of Rio de Janeiro

(FDSERJ), Brazilian Confederation of Sports Deaf (CBDS) and Deaf of International Sports Olympic

(ICDS).

SPECIAL AWARDS

• CHAMPION - Special Medal of the event, and the event's Gold Shirt (Specially made for the

champions of the categories) + Certificate.

• SECOND PLACE- Special Medal of the event + Certificate.

• THIRD PLACE - Special Medal of the event + Certificate.

Recalling that in the category SENIOR there is two medals of bronze, because, according to the

Ranking, it has two third places. In other categories there will be one third place.

* All athletes who are to participate in the podium draw several awards listed below:

- 1 Aerobike of U$ 1.800,00

- 32 watches of brands and Champion Magnum

- 2 karate-gi (kata and kumite)

- 5 shin protectors;

- 2 chest protectors;

- 5 pairs of Adidas gloves;

Obs.: The non-participation in technical congress imply acceptance of all decisions taken in it. There

GENERAL REGULATIONS OF THE COMPETITION

• The WKF 2015 Regulation will be adopted. This is the same regulation adopted by the CBK.

• The materials should be in accordance with the WKF rules: Hand, cinnamon, sinus and chest

protector (optional). The material shall be approved by the CBK or WKF. Need to be in GOOD USE OF

STATE.

• The coaches and officials must be properly uniformed (sweater or blouse of the country, state, city

or club). They should occupy the space reserved for it in the facilities. Will be subject to penalties in

accordance with Regulation WKF 2015 and will have all the rights set out in it. We will not accept

people in shorts in the competition area.

• Awards for the first THREE in each category. We will carry out dispute Bronze. Recalling that there

will be two Bronze medals for the senior category due to the Ranking.

• The competitions will be held on tatame mats and OFFICIAL AREAS.

• No changes or new registrations will be accepted after the start of the draw on the technical

Congress. The completion deadline for entries is set for May 15.

• Changes of categories can only occur during the Congress before the draw of the competition

chart.

• Athletes will receive badge for identification and entry to access on the 19th to the Arnold Classic in

Rio Centro.

REGISTRATION

CONTEST: Should be made through the site; www.karatearnolclassicbrasil.com.br or official event

fecebook. An information will be available with the categories of the event.

The athletes who participated in 2014 will have a Preferential Tariff and will pay R$ 100.00 (one

hundred reais - By Category). The list of the athletes with this Preferential Tariff will be published on

the event website. Other athletes who are participating for the first time will pay the amount of R$

120.00 (One hundred and twenty reais - By Category).

The athletes who participate in more than one category will also be entitled to the discount, paying

R$ 100.00 per category.

Start of registration : 15 of January of 2015. Ending May 15, 2015 at 00:00 hours.

The athletes registered will receive the instructions to pay in the CONFIRMATION EMAIL after your

registration. The registration process will only be finalized after the confirmation of the payment and

registration completion e-mail.
