I want to revisit the fundamental model operating inthe global financial markets. The United States hasnow made a significant public commitment to afinancial system based on “neverland” accounting.The federal finances are non-transparent as a matterof official policy at the same time that ever moreresources are centralized and directed through thefederal budget and credit. Furthermore, the federalgovernment can waive corporate transparency in theinterest of national “security” while it engineerscorporate profits. This means the corporations thatrun — and even control – the US governmentoperations also enjoy “neverland accounting.”

We have reached the point where stock and bondmarket prices are politically determined andsubsidized with citizens funds – including taxes,savings and pension funds. If prices and financial

The Belgian artist René Magritte made his name as a surrealist in the 1930’s, joininga cultural movement that has been spreading since 1920’s and already included poetGuillaume Apollinaire, who coined the very term “surrealism,” André Breton, themovement’s theorist and leader, and many artists such as Salvador Dali, Max Ernstor Louis Buñuel. Surrealism was upending the established rules of narration andimagery, and introduced into arts the notion that art does not necessarily has to be arepresentation of the visible world. A painting would have its own logic, often of adream or an absurd thought, and it could be painted with all the precision andmastery of a landscape painter, but it did not have to represent any actual, “soberand sane” reality. This approach to art dovetailed perfectly with the new,non-Newtonian physics, the sense of absurdity of human condition brought over bythe atrocities of the First World War and the birth of psychoanalysis, hypnosis andother explorations of the subconscious. Many of the seminal Magritte paintings werepainted in the pre-war decade and made him one of the key representatives of thisart style. Then the Second World War came, the classic surrealism was not so newand revolutionary anymore, and Magritte became a bit stuck. He was physically stuckin the wartime Belgium and he was artistically stuck as well.

As digital technology grows more powerful, the application of individual mind controldelivered cheaply through media, telecommunications and distributed means hasbecome the most profitable form of control. Control my mind and you can controlwhere I live, what I buy, how I spend my time, what investments I make, even whom Ilove and marry.

This is a corporate wonderland in which companies that entice their customers withsubliminal mind control – creating addictions to sugar, to gambling, to drugs, toshopping, to pornography, to video games – win the largest market share. Those whodo not are left in the financial dust by the economics of mind controlled monopolies.

Criminal hypnosis and other forms of mind control have been with us since themiddle ages. However, mind control delivered on scale opens up whole newpossibilities. This includes manipulating human electromagnetic fields so we createthe future that a small elite desires. We resonate with machines rather than with eachother and all living intelligence.
