Aerospace and Defense

The UK’s aerospace and defense industries are key players in their world

markets, and are major contributors to the UK economy, through both

manufacturing and research into new technologies. The aerospace sector is

the second largest in the world, employing over 150,000 people and exporting

around 60% of it’s output, and in 2000 it had a turnover £18.25bn, and was

responsible for 12% of the UK’s manufacturing research spending.

Recognizing the vital importance of these industries to success of the UK’s economy,

our team (one of the several “sector” teams in the DTI’s Business Group) seeks to

further enhance the UK’s productivity and competitiveness through:

1. Building strong relations with companies, trade associations, and other government

department.

2. Ensuring industry’s interest are taken into account in government decision making.

3. Identifying specific opportunities for the maintenance and development of high

technology and strategic industrial capabilities.

Mengingat peran vital dari industri-industri penerbangan dan pertahanan untuk

keberhasilan ekonomi Inggris, tim kami (salah satu dari beberapa tim “sektor” di

Kelompok Bisnis DTI) mencari cara untuk lebih meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya

saing Inggris, melalui:

1. Membangun relasi yang kuat dengan perusahaan-perusahaan, asosiasi-asosiasi

perdagangan, dan departemen pemerintah lainnya.

Pompa bensin dapat juga dimasukkan ke dalam industri ban atau

industri perbaikan otomotif. Pengoperasian firma-firma pribadi mungkin

bertentangan dengan minat kolektif mereka yang paling besar, sedangkan

atau perbaikan mobil. Tetapi ada satu masalah dalam organisasi industri
