Pulse of the Market-Changing Times for Investors- Changes in the world and the economy affect every investor whether you are investing through your 401(k) or outside of your company retirement plan. Change, however, can offer new opportu-nities that could have a dramatic impact on your financial future. Learn about the highlights of 2010, prospects for 2011 and how to create a plan and follow it. I will explain how to build a portfolio that is right for you, explain why it is important to stay the course, how regular investing may smooth the ride and how diversification may help lower risk. Presenter: Rhonda Heineman,CFP®, Egermier Wealth Management Group/ LPL Financial.

Verdis Group-As our world population charges toward 10 billion, many questions are raised about what this means for our world and our economy: Are there adequate resources to provide energy? Can we feed that many people? What opportunities does this present? This session will explore what individuals and organizations might expect at such a critical cross-roads and how to flourish in a green economy. Presenter: Craig Moody,MBA; Principal , Verdis Group

Moving from Fringe Financial Providers to Mainstream Financial Services- Did you know that over half of American households have less than $1,000 in net financial assets? While fringe financial service providers such as check cashiers and payday lenders meet the need for immediate cash, the excessive fees charged for these services erode the ability of families to save and to get ahead. Come hear about local efforts that have designed and implemented financial products and ser-vices that connect people to mainstream financial services. Presenter: Julie Kalkowski, Director, Creighton University (Financial Hope Collaborative).

Psychology of Spending- In a perfect world, we would always have enough income to satisfy our wants. However, this isn’t a perfect world, and we often find ourselves with little if any income left over from our basic expenses and credit card payments. This session will discuss the research on the psychology of spending, and some strategies that it suggests you can take to save more, bring spending under control, and live a less stressful life. Presenter: Dr. Ken Kriz, Associate Professor, University of Nebraska Omaha.

Small Businesses: (How to reinvent yourself)- Now is a great time to start a business if you are realistic and start small. If you look at any business cycle, most of the great businesses to emerge have always started when the conditions ap-pear to be adverse! Learn what you need to know to make sure business develops, grows and operates more efficiently. Presenter: Michael Mitilier, President, Small Business Association of the Midlands.

Ethical Decision Making in Business- Making ethical business decisions consistently is a key to long-term success for any business, although ethical decision makers may, at times, achieve weaker short-term financial results than their shadier counterparts. In this session the presenter will focus on how making ethical decisions, and addressing mistakes or problem directly, leads to more business. Presenter: Michael Becker, Owner, Estate Gardeners Inc.
