2. The terms of reference of the Standing Committee of the Council inrespect of NITs and IIEST, Shibpur shall be as under:-

(i) To examine and submit its Report to the Council on all those subjectmatters I issues I references including broad policy formulations in achievingthe long term goals (academic excellence including research) by NITs IIIEST duly referred I entrusted by the Council of NITSER;

(ii) To advise the Chairperson of the Council of NITSER on specific items; and(iii) To provide the necessary guidance and inputs on the specific issues as

desired by the Council from time to time.
