2017 Supply Chain Internship Programme
The Supply Chain Internship Program (SCIP) is part of Dow’s Supply Chain Talent Development program series, targeted to build future leaders in the organization. At Dow Supply Chain, we believe that top talent engagement starts with great student internships. The SCIP will provide you an opportunity to immerse in corporate culture, while working on challenging, real-time, business cases that cover across one or more Supply Chain organizations. You will be partnered with talented Dow employees, so you get to know first-hand what it means to be part of Dow, and will be coached by senior Dow leaders for meaningful work and career development discussions.
In the 10 to 12 weeks internship program, student would be assisting in project improvement role where it give them to chance to look at real life process which a chemical MNC is using and learn about the process from senior colleague/mentor. There would be opportunities for the student to see the day to day operation requirement in Logistic and Business Supply Chain respectively.
The students would be required to identify is there any potential opportunity to improve the current process. This allows networking and collaboration with other functions such as Finance, Customer Services, and Commercial colleagues.
2 Supply Chain areas that you could be placed in –
Country Supply Chain Operations Country Supply Chain Operations supports the safe and ethical conduct of logistical activities for Dow businesses in Singapore & Malaysia, and ensures all related regulatory requirements from local authorities and ministries are addressed and complied to. This includes logistics vendors and supplier’s management, inventory management, Road Transportation and Warehousing services.
Business Supply Chain Regional Planning Team The Supply Chain Business Planning Team actively manages replenishment flows from
production units in Thailand, Saudi Arabia, North America and Europe to a variety of stocking
locations across the Asia Pacific. The planner performs a key role, acting as the fulcrum
between product supply, and demand from a diverse Sales organization, selling our products
to market.
Job Requirements: We are looking for 2017-2018 Bachelors’ undergraduates with background in Business Administration (Operation Management preferred) with mobile-minded strategic thinkers and tactical implementers with a demonstrated outstanding work ethic and strong problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You must possess excellent leadership characteristics, high initiative and quick learning skills. An international perspective is required, and ability to work in a global team environment is critical.

Job Description –2017 Campus Graduate (TS&D Engineer, Coatings) Dow Coating Materials (DCM) is seeking for a Technical Service and Development (TS&D) Engineer to join the team. The incumbent will support customer needs by developing new applications and by providing technical knowledge on the use, handling and management of Dow products. Main Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain an effective rapport with technical peers in each of the Asia Pacific and World Wide Technical Centres to develop cutting edge technology and applications for the paint and coating industry.
Provide innovation solutions to customers and witness strategic growth for Dow and our partners.
Assume full responsibility for the outcome of assigned projects.
Establish and maintain effective and credible relationships with key customers. Where appropriate, participate in strategic account team(s), managing significant, strategic account interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and above in Material Science Engineering / Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering preferred
Bachelor’s Degree and above fresh graduates of Dec 2016 and graduating students of June 2017 may apply.
Prior internship experience in Material Science will be an added advantage
We are looking for candidates who have the following qualities:
Driven and a strong sense to learn and grow
Ability to document work in a timely fashion in internal reports, patent disclosures and external publications as appropriate.
Interpersonal effectiveness and willingness to work both independently and on project teams
Excellent communication skills to give presentations to customers, managers, business leaders and technical teams.
