fate of Corfu that he became the Patriot Saint of

the island. The Saint was the Bishop of

Vidos.Small island situated approximately 1,200 m. from the city of Corfu and with a

perimeter of about 2,735 m. It is considered that the small island of Vidos is the island of Ptychias, which is mentioned by Thucidides.

The island had been used in the past as an isolation camp for a great number of soldiers, who were suffering from contageous diseases, as well as a reformatory for youngsters.

Today it is considered a touristic location, with small picturesque beaches and a restaurant, whereas it also shelters children/s camps.
