DESCRIPTION
As part of the FARO 3D laser scanner Product Management Team, Oliver Bürkler is focusing on the development of FARO´s 3D documentation software as well as managing the relationships with FAROs 3rd party development partners. Previously, he served as the Business Development and Sales Manager for iQvolution in Germany. He holds a Masters in Precision Engineering as well in Business Administration and Engineering at the University of Applied Science, Munich, Germany. Oliver will discuss the latest news and updates to FARO’s 3D Documentation product portfolio and provide insights into the vision and concepts behind them. These new offerings will allow users to continue to increase the efficiency of their projects.TRANSCRIPT

“Registration was uneventful, requiring adjustment only at the stairwells where overlap was minimal, and room geometry a bit more complicated. Out of 130 scans, ~9 scan positions failed to register properly on the first pass. Considering that target spheres and paper targets were not used at all, the little extra time needed for registration adjustment was acceptable. Based upon my cumulative experience with targetless registration, I expect to employ c2c registration about 80% of the time.” Scott Page M.Arch, Scott Page Design
