Design Engineers who are looking to utilize NKK’s 3D CAD models can find them in a few different places within the nkkswitches.com website. The main entry into NKK’s CAD Library can be found on the homepage lower button navigation, shown in the red box shown here. The user can then configure a part based on their project needs and requirements by selecting the different product types and attributes displayed

Once the part has been configured, the CAD rendering automatically populates within the preview window. The user can then turn and view the different perspectives of the part by clicking and moving their mouse over the part rendering, or by clicking the navigation tools located at the bottom of the preview window. To download the CAD file, the user must click the CAD Download tab at the top of the preview window circled here in red, enter in their email address and click the CAD Download button to choose the CAD file type they would like to download. The user must then confirm selection by clicking the red Start Download button. The user can also download the part PDF datasheet by clicking the PDF datasheet button.

A user can also locate a CAD model by part number on the NKK website as well. Either by utilizing the parametric search circled here and selecting the attributes based on the users needs, or by searching by product type down to the part level, a user can get to a part detail page for each NKK part. Once on the part detail page, the user must click the View CAD Download button to be taken to the CAD viewing page.
