Buses will transport participants to and from plots located just east of the intersection of Water Well Road and Ohio Street. WHAT, WHEN, WHERE . . .❚ Main parking: Find a place in pasture parking area north of Water Well Road.

❚ The Walk That Connects: Interactive walk at7 a.m. Saturday with Karen McCoy, 2017 Prairie Fest Artist, includes participatory observation and absorption, silence and contemplation. With special guests Wes Jackson, Bill Vitek and Aubrey Streit Krug   (meet at top of hill overlooking Wauhob Prairie,*see map).         

❚ Horse-drawn carriage rides: 7:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m. Saturday. Hitch a ride to pasture parking, events, lunch or to hear your favorite speaker. 

❚ Kernza® Pancake feed: Start Saturday with a good breakfast at 7:30 a.m. — 100% Kernza batter,    free-will donations, two pancakes per person (while   supplies last). Yummy!      

❚ Worth reading: Bookstore is open Saturdayand Sunday (Classroom building). Wonderful variety of authors/topics, T-shirts, mugs and more.                   

❚ Children’s area: Bring the kids by for supervised activities Saturday (South side of Research Building,     look for red banner), ages 13 and younger (potty-trained children, please).

• 8 a.m. to noon – Lakewood Discovery Center will help with nature notebooks, touch jugs and lead a nature walk. Sta� will bring critters, too!

• 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Salina Art Center will lead plaster-casting art project. Sunday: 10 a.m. to noon, kids will paint their plaster-cast creations.   

• 3:30 to 5 p.m. – Storytelling by Fran Stallings.   

❚ Food trucks: Lunch and supper are available for purchase. Don’t miss special Bison-themed suppers.

❚ Plot tours: Scientists lead tours of breeding plots at Ohio and Water Well. Buses will take you. Tours are 3:30 to 6 p.m., last load time is 4:30 p.m. Saturday at bus stop near O�ce (look for olive banner). Some walking required. Allow 90 minutes. 

❚ Sunrise events: Wake up! 7:30 a.m. Sunday, lace up your hiking shoes and join our Prairie Walk (meet at olive banner near O�ce), or stretch out those camping kinks with a yoga class in fresh country air (gather in Office backyard, look for white banner).
