Pastoral Council News! We are looking for new members to go on to the council in June. We need 2 women and 2 men for a 2 year commitment. If you are in-terested please contact Fr. Tony.

It has the Sunday readings in a children’s version, and the text from the Lection-ary, and slide shows and videos of children. St. Romuald Altar Society would like to congratulate Lauren Whitfill for being the 2020 Altar Society Scholarship winner. Lauren is a fine example of our youth at it’s best here at St. Romuald Church. Good luck to whatever your future brings you Lauren, we are sure you will do yourself proud.

3 May 17, 2020 - Sixth Sunday of Easter

Hello Everyone, This weekend we celebrate the 6th Sunday of Easter. We were supposed to be celebrating our High School Seniors at our 10:00 am Mass this Sunday. We also had planned a nice breakfast for them and their families afterward. Since we could not do any of this we did take donuts to our Seniors homes for breakfast. I did a recording of the book, “On The Places You Will Go” and Gayle Poole put together a slide/video show for them and gave them their gift card for graduation. We are very proud of the Class of 2020. We will forever remember the Class of 2020. Congratulation to you and your families We are waiting to get the go-ahead from Bishop Medley to when we can start celebrating Mass with the faithful. When we do there are going to be many changes. I ask first of all for everyone to be patient and understanding. If we do not follow the new norm then we will not have Mass. Once we receive the letter from our Bishop it is my hope to send that letter to each family. I know already that after each Mass the entire church has to be cleaned before the start of the next Mass. This is going to take many people. If you are willing to help, please call the office and let me know. I know we are going to be limited to the number of people that can be at each Mass and families are going to have to be at least 6 ft from one another. Mask are going to have to be worn by ALL. These are but a few things that we are aware of at this time. The Bishop has and will continue to lift the obligation to attend Mass. I know that this is something hard for many Catholics to hear. But he has done this. In other words if you miss Sunday Mass it is not a sin. Once we start back to celebrating Mass I would encourage some of the faithful to attend weekday Mass for their Sunday celebration. I plan on having evening Masses during the week. Again many changes are around the corner. I ask that everyone remember that this is for everyone to follow. If we are going to be able to return to the Eucharist then we must follow the new norm. As soon as I get the info I will be sending a letter out. Please READ the entire letter once you receive it. Continue to pray for an end to this virus. Pray for those on the front lines, pray for one another and me. Know of my prayers for you. Love Fr. Tony
