Ice Cream AdditionsLong summer days provide plenty of chances

to enjoy the season’s classic refreshing treat, icecream. When it comes to adding a final flourishto a dish or cone, about half of Americans favorhot fudge, according to poll results. Nuts,whipped cream, and fruit also ranked high. Joinus on the deck throughout the summer for ourice cream socials.

Hello everyone! It’s beenawhile since I have written. Wethought it would be a good ideato have a few different peoplesay a few words rather than justme all the time. I’d like to start

off by welcoming our news residents; Anne Skigin,Helene Wellens, Dolores and Alfonso Dipietro, alongwith Bernadette Dyche. I now know how your familiesfeel because I myself brought my mom into an assistedliving community in New Jersey. I’m sure ourwonderful families and staff will help you thru theprocess.

I’d also like to thank our maintenance crew for allthe hard work they did on the outside deck; Joe, Louis,and Wilson job well done! We have already been usingthe Deck, we have had BBQ’s, Ice Cream Socials anddrinks on the Deck! Keep an eye on the ActivityCalendar for all the upcoming summer events. With theweather becoming hotter it is important that you pleasemake sure you drink enough fluids. Dehydration cancome upon you rather quickly so, bottoms up.

Please check out all the fabulous trips planned foryou this month. Those girls in activity are allwonderful, thank you Lynn, Alice and Sabrina. Enjoythe warm weather.

Memorial Day Parade

We had 18 residents go down to the Library in Tuxedofor the annual Memorial Day parade and Picnic. We hadso much fun watching the parade and waving at everyonewe knew. Our own Barbara F. had her husband, Vic,marching in the parade. Many of our Middle and HighSchool Volunteers were riding on the float that theStudent Council decorated. The Tuxedo Library iswonderful to the residents of the Promenade. They set upa tent just for us so we could watch the parade in comfortand they also set us up with VIP seating for the Picnic!
