Ibiza, Summer 2012

Well, its not as you might expect it.

No, seriously, theres another side to Ibiza thanits clubs, lines o coke, sorry, beaches, and villas-with-swimming-pools-so-cool-you-think-you-swim-in-the-sea.

Dont except some genuine hippie shit though;neo-liberalism swallowed that a long time agoand every bits and pieces o the island is b eingcapitalized on.

However, there are still spaces where you canrelax and get skin cancer without a bunch olobsters grilling around.

As one might imagine, pairs o divinely shapedtits walking around the beach is not an uncom-mon sight. Accordingly, so is the one o hom-bres whose colours and constitution will putto shame any normally-constituted caucasianmale.

Food is good as well as cheap. However, or thatprice, you will usually have to endure thenoise o a ootball game coming through themono speaker o an old cathodic tube where itspast ickerings are orever engraved.

While it is something I usually cannot stand, theSpanish supporter seems to be o a diferentbreed than its Saxon or eutonic cousin (though

it is more a question o winning vs lo osing -- orso Ive been told).

All in all, Ibiza is a nice place to visit; but youvegot to know where to go. As always, talk to thelocals.

Tales of the Brave Ulysses / Cream, Disraeli Gears

But you rode upon a steamer to the violence o the sun.

And the colours o the sea bind your eyes with trembling mermaids,

And you touch the distant beaches with tales o brave Ulysses,

How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing,

For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips.

And you see a girls brown body dancing through the turquoise,

And her ootprints make you ollow where the sky loves the sea.

And when your ngers nd her, she drowns you in her body,

Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues o your mind.

Te tiny purple shes run laughing through your ngers,

And you want to take her with you to the hard land o the winter.

Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell,

And you know you cannot leave her or you touched the distant sands

With tales o brave Ulysses, how his naked ears were tortured

By the sirens sweetly singing.
