35 TORONTO AREA GRADUATES READY FOR A CAREER IN
COLLISION REPAIR
May 25, 2011
Graduates of the Centennial College Autobody techniques program have just graduated and are
eager to show employers in the autobody, collision repair and auto refinishing industries, how
they can help in repairing vehicles in your shop.
The 35 graduating students are just finished their techniques program, a longer program than
offered in initial apprenticeship and have paid for their training themselves. Many employers
feel that this makes these graduates more motivated to find a good job in the industry and prove
what they can do.
A number of grants and incentives are available including tax credits of up to $2000 upon hiring
and a $10,000 apprenticeship tax credit when hiring any of these graduates as apprentices. Each
apprentice would also qualify for an $800 tool loan.
To contact any of these graduates, please see the front page of the employment section of the
collision industry web site at www.ciia.com
