There are three great fundamental truths lying at the base of this system of the teaching of the Saints called Sant Mat.

The first Truth is:

The helpless condition of the individual soul. Meaning the utter inability of the created one to ever extricate himself from the prison walls and multiple chains binding and holding him in this world of mind and matter, in a world where he is doomed to be born again and · again for untold ages. In this arena of personal struggle he finds himself. Far away has he wandered from the regions of light of his original home.

He is encompassed by adverse conditions, requiring painful, prolonged and exhausting efforts. After he has foughtlhe battle to the limit, when he has done his best to rise above he regions of pain and labour; he then stands alone upon a lofty light to survey the field of his struggles. He looks for a way to escape, but there is none. Battle as he may, he must return again and again to the field of his toil.

But if he is brave and courageously continue the fight; on each successive return to the plane of strife, he brings with him an earned credit of favourable karma, giving him a better placement.

At last he looks about him and is gripped with an inexpressible yearning to return to his source. He is simply tired of endless warfare. He finds that he has battled so long and so hard, yet has never been able to extricate himself from the wheel. He now intuitively knows that he never can release himself. When at that point the ego is conquered and the "I" annihilated, when humility is born of bitter experiences, only then is he ready for the second great Truth.·

The second Truth is:

That the living Master is the divinely appointed agent of individual salvation, and the great liberator.

The individual has been dis-connected from the central force, which alone can enable him to return to his original home. By his own volition he is unable to effect his own acquittal and emancipation.

Now comes the living Master into his life: The Master comes only when the soul is ready, for Him. When all else has failed and man's ego has been subdued to pennit him to accept a Master, the moment is ripe for the great redeemer to enter his life.

The Master then connects the individual soul with his Creator at the time of accepting tlie seeker as his disCiple. When this connection is made; the disciple acquires the power to travel independently under the guidance of his Master. He then can overcome all the ·negative tendencies and begins his ascent towards the regions of light. ·

Without the help of the Master; he could never make that journey. There is no ultimate release for anyone from- the w~eel of birth and death, from the vale of tears

and pain until the living Master comes to his aid.

The third Truth is:-

The vital fact of the Sound Current. The Shabd or Sound Current is the most stupendous and essential fact in all the realms of nature; yet it has been the least understood and recognized by humanity.

Even though the teaching of the Sound Current has been in the world since the earliest m~n began to turn his face towards God and ever since God has set in motion the human race on its career upon this earth. Time and again, age after age, Saints have come to give fresh emphasis to this unique primary Truth, which is the most relevant of all truths. However, sometimes after the departure of the Saint, the negative power begin to cover up and obscure that truth; introducing a thousand schemes to draw the attention away from its importance; since it is the one and only venue and the sole route of escape from the regions of the negative power. That Sound Current, that Shabd is the one and only power by means of which man is enabled to break every fetter that binds him, remove all negativeness obscuring his moral sense and expel the clouds covering his spiritual vision. This Shabd is the unique source of help and assistance that meets every need of the soul.

It is only on the back of the Celestial Sound current that man can retrace his steps and riding on It, move forward and upward until he reaches his eternal home at the feet of the Supreme Father.

When the soul is connected with the Sound Current at the time of one's initiation by the Master, that is the supreme moment of man's new birth. However, the completion and ultimate goal of that birth is a very slow process, a gradual coming into the light.

This divine Shabd or Sound is the Supreme Being himself vibrating through all space; and extending down to each individual soul.

The power of the Current or Shabd can only be transmitted to the individual soul who is attuned to receive it. Here is the decisive point of the subject: ONE MUST BE ATilJNED TO RECEIVE IT.

This is the primal connection between the Creator and the created. This entire process of training to receive the power of the Sound Current constitutes the course of instructions and its application as given by each Master to his disciple and the spiritual discipline to be followed for its attainment.

In this way the Supreme Creator sends out streams of life to all his creation. It is the supreme current of spiritual life flowing out of Him to every soul in the universe. It is the way he will ultimately bring them back to Himself, when their periods of learning and discipline are over. But man has shut himself off from this" vital connection due to his degrading relation with the lower regions and has become so disconnected that he can no longer hear the vibrations of that Current nor avail himself of its power; until the Master re-connects him to that everlasting, eternal Current.

This Shabd gives man a new strength and resolution, it cleanses him anci draws him inward and upward towards the highest spiritual regions and ultimately to his eternal abode; to the source frol)l where he originated.

These three truths of Sant Mat are the three vital factors in the process of spiritual redemption. Without them the individual soul is completely helpless and is doomed to wander forever in the desolate planes of shadow and pain, of birth and death.

But the joy of him who begins to hear the sweet sounds of the divine current within, when he feels a new power pervading through every fibre of his being, this is the undescribable bliss. Now he is conscious of rising above all negative tendencies and filled with a sense of happiness which he never knew before. His real Home, in the abode of pure Shabd is within his reach, and soon his feet will step upon its golden shores.

ចេដើរ មជ នៗ ចេឡើងេទខងេលើ ចរកលេទមខ រហតដលផទះសរគ គេននងេជើងរពះប (រពះពទធ Supreme Father)។
