Senior Holiday Lunch

A Tribute to Our Senior Citizens

Friday, November 9 11:00 AM in Msgr. Walsh Hall

As a special tribute to our Senior Citizens who have given their loyal support to our school and parish, Holy Angels CPTA will be hosting our Annual Holiday Luncheon.

Admission is by advance reservation only. Parishioners age 60 and above are invited.

You can call the rectory office to reserve a seat. Reservations

deadline is November 6. Rectory 626-447-1671

This event is our way of thanking you for donating to and

supporting our fundraisers. Holy Angels is honored to have you as part of our family. Without your steadfast loyalty and dedication, we could not give our students all the benefits they currently enjoy.

NOTE TO ENTIRE PARISH COMMUNITY

If you would like to contribute by donating frozen turkeys, door

prizes or cash, please call Clair Luna 626-627-9384 [email protected]

Have you noticed? Our new organ has arrived!

For the first time, we were able to hear the magnificent sound of our new organ! This is a project that has been years in the making, and finally the dream has become a reality. We were able to do this because of the goodness of our beloved long-time parishioner Gracie O'Brien,

who left a very generous bequest to Holy Angels so that we could install an organ; that was the beginning of the dream. With every note played on this beautiful instrument, Gracie's legacy goes on. This is yet another example of how one person can make an enormous difference. Please remember Holy Angels when making out your will or trust. There are various ways of doing this. Contact Enrique, the business manager, for more information on how YOU can make a difference! 626-447-1671

Thanksgiving Baskets We are coordinating Thanksgiving Baskets for needy families of our parish. Would you like to donate items for a family’s Thanksgiving dinner? We are hoping to receive the following items for each family’s meal:

turkey, box or two of mashed potatoes, hot roll mix, canned vegetables, box or two of stuffing, olives, can of coffee, pumpkin pie mix, cranberry sauce, yams, flour and/or sugar.

If you would like to help out, please call Barbara Ferris at 447-1671 no later than Wednesday, November 14. Maybe your family could make another family’s Thanksgiving extra special!

Fostering Stewardship as a Way of Life What percentage does God ask of me as a good steward? All of my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind, and all of my strength!

This Week’s Stewardship of Time and Talent Salute: In gratitude for God’s gifts of time, talent and treasure to us, we

gratefully acknowledge Gloria Cantanese

who sacrificially shares her Time, Talent and Treasure with the Parish as a Eucharistic Minister. With gratitude,

we thank you, Gloria

The offertory for October 28 was $15,278

Boundaries are really important. Boundaries are critical, for you and for the children in your care. Establishing and maintaining boundaries helps teach children their importance, gives them the tools to establish their own, and to form appropriate and healthy relationships with other adults. You can avoid even a misconception of inappropriate behavior by upholding the boundaries you have established for yourself, allowing you more freedom to care for the children in your life.
