A HistoryHome Is Where The Art Is started as a family business in 1986 doing custom framing and graphic design work our reputation grew. With her conservation/museum background Tina, in 1991, offered restoration services at the request of its clients. Once again our reputation grew and we began working with restoration companies, insureds and private clients doing art restoration and conservation services.

Today, we are known as both Home Is Where The Art Is (we just couldn’t bear to leave the name behind) and Art And Frame Restoration.com often Folks affectionately refer to us as “The Purple Art People” because we wear in Purple Shirts!

We are able to pack-out, assess, stabilize, remediate and restore. We restore works of art, original frames and custom framed art from damage due to neglect, breakage, fire, and water.

All work is completed in our on-site studio, by our own staff. We do not send items out/we are not “middle-men”. Occasionally when warrented we do work on location with our mobile team.

Our Team

Art Restoration Services Since 1998, we have been providing Fine Art and Pho-tography Restoration Services through our company.We established ArtandFrameRestoration.com Working in areas of specialty that include paintings, frames, photo-graphs and works of art on paper, textiles and memor-bilia we have stabilized, restored and preserved hundreds of items. Often these objects are framed for preservation and display. Home Is Where The Art Is and Art and Frame Restoration.com have been recommended by some of the finest institutions for conserva-tion/preservation framing, restoration and repair of a wide variety for works of art. Christine M. Crist, our owner, is a member of a number of professional organizations and abides by those organizations’ Codes of Ethics.

Custom Picture Framing Since 1988, Home Is Where The Art Is- has dedicated itself to providing clients with the finest in Custom Framing and Frame Restoration Services. Our design studios have a vast array of choices in matting and framing. we have over 4000 styles of frame moulding and full lines of mat boards to meet the expectations of our clients. We possess master workmanship and knowledge to address our clients framing needs. From the simple to the extraordinary, we are experts in design and execution and have been satisfying clients for over 20 years. Home Is Where The Art Is - is a textile display special-ist. We are a national award-winning textile framer. Our company is known for custom framing and specialty display of needle-work, needle-point, tapestries and tex-tiles.
