February 1 – Mardi Gras Brunch – Join Jack and Jill of America, Inc. for a Saturday morning brunch and enjoy the rich taste of Louisiana Cuisine, amazing music, and a silent auction and raffle. For the fourth year in a row, Jack and Jill of The Woodlands is partnering with Love Fosters Hope, a Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to impacting the lives of children and teens in foster care who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. 

February 5 – Walk in the Woods Lecture Series: Feral Hogs – Feral hogs are a growing problem in Texas because of their destructive feeding habits, potential to spread disease, and increasingly expanding population. Impacts are being felt in most areas of Texas including suburban landscapes like The Woodlands. In this presentation, Dr. John Tomecek, Assistant Professor and Extension Wildlife Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will provide education on the history of feral hogs in Texas, their environmental and economic impacts, and best practices to homeowners needing to manage damages themselves. Registration is required for this FREE lecture but space is limited. 

February 7-9 – Oil Painting Exhibit & Sale – The Houston Area Oil Painters of America, a group of local artists from Conroe and The Woodlands, will have its first show of 2020 February 7 – 9, 2020, featuring Lois Blackburne, George Bramlett, Juan Cantavella, Beau Crump, Tom LaRock, and Debra Riley. An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 7th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Conroe Art League. 

February 8 – Community Tree Planting – Join The Woodlands Township at the sixth annual Community Tree Planting at the Creekside Park West Trailhead of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. Township staff and volunteers will work side by side to help reforest a portion of the trailhead with a variety of native trees, wildflower seed and milkweed plants. Volunteers will be provided with small tools and gloves. Registration is required. 

February 8 – Miles for Meals 5k & 10k – The annual fun run benefits Meals on Wheels Montgomery County and is a chip timed family friendly event at B-52 Brewery’s 6-acre Biergarten with picnic tables and outdoor games. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome. Breakfast and lunch food trucks on site. 

February 8 – CASA Speaks for Kids Gala – Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the CASA Speaks for Kids Gala at the Black, White & Silver Ball featuring cocktails, games, dinner, silent & live auctions, a meaningful program, plus an exclusive VIP after party featuring The Spazmatics in concert. Proceeds benefit CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, which provides and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused and neglected child can have the opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing permanent home. 

February 8, 15, 22, 29 – Waterway Nights – Enjoy live music by local and regional performers in the picturesque setting of Waterway Square at Waterway Nights. The spring concert series features a wide variety of bands. 

February 9 – Rayford Road Sweetheart Market – Find sweet deals and sweet treats at this special edition of the Rayford Road Sunday Market – just for Valentine’s Day! 

February 9 – Summer Camp Fair – Plan your summer in a day at this free family event. Meet with dozens of camp representatives to find the perfect summer program for your child. Whether you’re looking for sports, music, adventure, technology, drama, or academic camps, day or overnight, you’ll find them all at the 24th Annual Camp Fair held in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Court section of The Woodlands Mall.  

February 13-17 – Inspire Film Festival – Screened in multiple venues, the five-day festival is dedicated to entertaining and inspiring audiences with films, speakers, performances, and special events that celebrate the human spirit. Centered around the theme “Visionaries,” the 2020 Inspire Film Festival will showcase 30 feature-length and short documentary films that highlight local and international visionaries who inspire the world.

February 13-16 – Hot Rods of Texas Swap Meet – Shop and explore over 500 vendors while checking out incredible vehicles as Hot Rods of Texas hosts its Swap Meet at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center.

February 15 – Love & Marriage Comedy Show – Bring your significant other and your friends to watch this Valentine’s Day-themed comedy show at The Woodlands Resort. Three couples will be chosen from the audience and asked a series of relationship questions. Their answers will be shocking, relatable, and hysterical! Doors open at 6:30 p.m; show starts at 8:00 p.m.

February 18 – Adult Writer’s Workshop – Join the Mitchell Library Adult Writers Group for a supportive gathering of area writers just starting out, and those that have advice to share. Feel free to share work for supportive critique (sharing is not required to attend). No registration, free to attend. Ages 18 and up only. 

February 20 – Young Makers STEAM Challenge – Take the monthly Young Makers STEAM Challenge at the South Regional Library! Each month features a different challenge that will encourage children to use their science, technology, engineering, arts and math skills to complete. No signup required. Intended for children age 6 to 12 years old. 

February 21-23 – Lone Star Throwdown Car Show – The Lone Star Convention & Expo Center will host the Lone Star Throwdown Custom Car, Truck, and Bike Show February 21-23. 

February 22 – 15th Annual Empty Bowls Project – Help fight hunger in our community by attending the event sponsored by The JCS School National Art Honor Society and The Cooper Art Society that benefits the Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry. 

February 22 – Touch-A-Truck – Mark your calendars for a fun-filled morning at the annual Touch-a-Truck! Get up close and personal with all kinds of big trucks, off-road mudders, various first responder vehicles, and more from 9:00 a.m. – noon at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center. The event is for all ages, and features a noise-free sensory hour from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. 

February 22 – Go Texan Parade – Head on down to Conroe for the 55th Annual Go Texan Parade to celebrate living in the great state of Texas! 

February 22 – Daddy Daughter Dance – Fathers and daughters will enjoy an enchanted evening of dinner, dancing, a photo keepsake, prizes and much more at the Magnolia Event Center. 

February 22 – Montgomery County Heart Ball – The 25th Annual Montgomery County Heart Ball will welcome The Woodlands’ finest philanthropists, advocates, business leaders, socialites and survivors to experience a once-in-a-lifetime evening that will include cocktails, an auction, dinner, and dancing. The Heart Ball raises funds for The American Heart Association in the fight against America’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. 

 February 22 & 23 – Big Top Vintage Market – Big Top Vintage Market is heading back to Old Town Spring to bring the best in vintage, unique, one of a kind and shabby chic gifts, home decor, clothing and more to Old Town Spring. 2,000 unique Texas vendors will come together to bring an amazing assortment of shopping, family fun and food to North Houston along with a Kids Zone with midway attractions, a food Court packed with food trucks and more. On Saturday, February 22, the market will feature a vintage car show with a wide array of hot rods, antique vehicles, and rat rods. 

February 25 – Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration – The Woodlands Children’s Museum celebrates Mardi Gras in traditional Louisiana style! Guests can participate in three Mardi Gras parades at 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., & 12:15 p.m. Guests will create a Mardi Gras mask and noisemaker in carnival colors. Be sure to get a piece of King Cake donated by Montgomery Bakehouse upon exiting. 

February 25 – Sam Houston Trail Ride Reception – The City of Tomball welcomes members of the Sam Houston Trail Ride as they make their way to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The public is invited to this free event to meet and take photos with the trail riders, enjoy snacks and refreshments, get swag for the kiddos, enjoy the music and relive the old cowboy way. 

February 28 – Women Who Rock Luncheon – United Way Women Who Rock salutes extraordinary women in our community and empowers young moms to continue their education through the United Way’s Young Mother’s Child Care Scholarship, which underwrites child care for deserving young women who are committed to pursuing secondary education.

February 29 – The Woodlands Family 2k/5k Fun Run & Walk – Children and individuals are invited to run or walk the 2K course or the 5k course that will traverse the streets of Town Center. Friends, family and spectators will be able to cheer the participants across the finish line.

February 29 – Montgomery County First Responders Softball Tournament – The 2nd Annual First Responders Softball Tournament will feature vendors, face painting, kids activities, concessions, and a home run derby at the Carl Barton, Jr. Baseball Park. The Kids for Cops youth program will be organizing a commemorative youth softball game during lunch break that will consist of youth and first responders playing together. Any first responder team in Montgomery County is eligible to enter the tournament.

February 29/March 1 – Montgomery County Home and Outdoor Living Show – Transform your home into a dream home or create the custom home of your dreams with the latest innovative products and fresh new trends at the Inaugural Montgomery County Home and Outdoor Living Show at the Lone Star Convention Center. Exhibitors and speakers will offer participants valuable information on home improvement, up to date trends in home décor and entertaining segments with education relevant to our Greater Montgomery County/North Houston area. 

February 29 – Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Tour – Barbie is hitting the road with the Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Tour, celebrating her 60-year iconic heritage and the fans who love her. Come check out limited edition retro-inspired Barbie merchandise and customizable airbrush station that’s only available at the truck, which will be coming to The Woodlands Mall.

February 29 – Evening of Elegance Gala – The Evening of Elegance Gala features entertainment, a raffle, bid board, live auction, an elegant dinner and compelling program, which will highlight The Rotary Club’s mission and pay tribute to local philanthropist George Lindahl, III for his legendary service to the community. Funds from the event support Rotary House, which provides temporary housing for families undergoing treatment at The Woodlands Medical Center, scholarships for local high school and Lone Star College students, and more.
