Step 5 : install the first mailbox courseAfter completing the seventh course, you are ready to build the mailbox layer. Place the units as illustrated and secure with Kapseal. Use a semi-rigid backing material, (e.g. a non-expanding spray foam) to create a seal 4" behind the face of the mailbox. Then fill around the mailbox with grout so that it’s flush with the mailbox face. Make sure that the mailbox opens and closes freely. Grout may require weatherproofing or sealant depending on the type that is used.

Step 6 : Install the second mailbox courseInstall the second mailbox layer as illustrated above and secure with Kapseal. Fill in around mailbox as described in step 5. Finish with the capping option of your choice. We recommend a 3" solid cap stone that measures approximately 36" square. Center and secure in place with Kapseal.

Note: The long side of the large unit will always face the outside of the pillar. Inner column produces a 10" x 10"

center core.

Step 1 : Prepare the locationAfter selecting your location, measure the required 42" x 42" square for a 30" x 30" column. Remove dirt from inside the 42" square until the hole is 12” deep, level the bottom and prepare it for a rock base.

Step 3 : Install the first courseFor the first course, place the units as illustrated above. The units should be centered within the 42" square and placed 6" below finished grade. Check front to back and side to side to make sure the column is level. Adjust as necessary with sand.

Step 4 : Install the second coursePlace two ¼" wide strips of Keystone Kapseal adhesive completely around the first course approximately 3" away from the edge of the units. Place the second course of units on top of the first course as illustrated above. Apply Keystone Kapseal as before. Continue to build the column, alternating course layouts as indicated.
