Today we are going to look at what

happens in the story.

Like we have done before with other stories, draw around

your hand in your home learning book and draw pictures

to show who the main characters are, what happens in the

beginning of the story, middle of the story and end of the

story. Remember to also write a sentence to go with it.

Go on a hunt around the house / garden and make a

collection of sticks / straws / pebbles.

Use the sticks or pebbles or straws to make a shape.

What shape did you make? Can you tell your adult about

your shape?

Try making another shape.

Can you make a triangle, a circle, a triangle, a square, a

rectangle?

Challenge: Tell your adult how many sides and corners it

has.

If you can, keep the shapes or take a picture of them – you

need them for maths tomorrow!

Topic

Ask your adult to find a picture of you as a baby, toddler

and now as a child. Talk through with your adult how you

have changed since being a baby.

If you want to you could draw pictures of yourself as a

baby, toddler and child in your home learning book.

Play a game of connect 4 with your adult.

You and your adult need a different coloured pencil.

Read a word and colour it in your colour.

Then let your adult have a go.

The aim of the game is like connect 4, the winner gets 4

colours in a row.

Today we are going to finish writing our Jack and the

Beanstalk story. We will write the end of the story today.

rainbow to put in their window to make people happy

and show their support at this time.

could use anything you want, pencil crayons, paint,

glitter, wax crayons e.t.c.

Remember to make it bright and colourful!
