Event venue

Host city: Plovdiv

Location: Plovdiv is the second-largest city in Bulgaria, administrative

center of the region, situated on the two banks of the Maritsa River,

southeast of the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. It is an important economic, transport, cultural, sports and educational center. The city has historically

developed on seven hills, some of which are 250 meters.

Transport

Plovdiv's geographical position makes it an international transport hub.

Three of the ten Pan-European corridors run into or near the city: Corridor

IV (Dresden–Bucharest–Sofia-Plovdiv- Istanbul), Corridor VIII (Durrës-

Sofia-Plovdiv-Varna/Burgas), and Corridor X (Salzburg–Belgrade-Plovdiv-

Istanbul). The city is a major road and railway hub in southern Bulgaria with the Trakia motorway (A1) only 5 km to the north.

Plovdiv International Airport is near the village of Krumovo, 5 km

southeast of the city. Plovdiv is located 145 km away from the airport of the capital Sofia by A1, 259 km away from Burgas airport by A1, and 370

km away from Varna airport.

All events associated with the 4th WORLD FEEDER CHAMPIONSHIP FOR

CLUBS – 2020 (opening ceremony, captains meetings, award ceremony

and closing banquet) will take place in Plovdiv.

Fishing Ground

Water area: Rowing channel – Plovdiv

Location: The channel is located near the Recreation and Culture Park,

next to the Plovdiv Stadium.

Length: 2200 m

Width: 120 m

Depth: 2.5 m in all sectors

Competitions: Еvery year there are held competitions of the national feeder championship in Bulgaria. In 2016 this channel took place the

Fish species

There are these types of fish in the Rowing channel:

Carp (cyprinus carpio), crucian (carassius carassius), amur (Ctenopharyngodon idella), roach (rutilus rutilus), chub (leuciscus

cephalus).

The fishing of silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) is prohibited and will not be counted.

Baits and groundbaits quantities

15 liters groundbaits and 2 liters of baits, of which a maximum amount of

0.50 liter can be jokers. A maximum amount of 0.50 liter of earthworms is

allowed in the total baits. Earthworms shall be presented entire (not-cut).

Bloodworms are only meant for hooking and shall be presented in a “FIPSed official size” box.

Participation fee

Registration fee: 1450 euro per team (6 competitors, 2 Captains, 1

Delegate), which includes the FIPSed fee 150 euro per team, the closing

banquet, awards, 6 fishing permits for the whole duration of the

championship (training and competitions), insurance, souvenirs etc.

The cost of one banquet for any additional person (exceeding 9 persons)

is 50€.
