The journey commenced in the year 1975, when sabar started its first unit for the

manufacture of water pumps. Unbounded passion, unmatched

skill and uncompromising quality control led the

group from one success to another. The certification

of ISO 9001 and ISI marks were just an affirmation

that sabar is the signature of quality.

The path of progress has been marked by many milestones

wherein consolidation and diversification have been the mantra. The foray

into the export market confirmed the global vision of the company.

The Group’s uncompromising commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, adoption

of latest technologies, inclusion of new types and developing standard pumps through

continuous R&D yielded magnificent results.

Sabar Pumps Pvt. Ltd., comes to the customer with the prestigious International Quality

Certification IS/ISO 9001 of Bureau of Indian Standard (Accredited by Radd voor de

Certificate, Netherlands). Our Group company, India Electrical & Engineering Company

also has International Quality Certification ISO 9001 from BVQI London. Sabar Engineering

Industries has ISO 9001 certification from TUV NORD Certification Body and also has CE

marking.

Presently, there are 7 companies in the Sabar Group, involved in manufacturing, marketing

and export of different types of pumps, motors & other engineering products. Sabar Group

has an All India presence through 1500 strong dealer network and 13 marketing offices

in all important cities. Sabar products are exported to more than 30 countries around the

world.

ApplicationThe range of submersible pumps are designed for wide range of application within the water supply, irrigation system, ground water harvesting, High rise building water supply system, Fountains, clean liquid transfer

Range“sabar” submersible pumps are suitable for the wide range of Bore hole size : 4”, 6”,8”,10” & 12”

Outlet size : 11/4” to 6.0” Flow rate : 16 LPM to 4660 LPM Head range : Max. 300 mtr Liquid Temperature : 35 Deg.C Ambient Temp : 45 Deg. C Mini Submergence : 0.5 mtr from NRV

Pump LiquidAll Pumps are only suitable for pumping clean, cold, fresh, non-aggressive, non-explosive water without abrasives, solid particles or fibers. Clear cold water shall mean water having following characteristics.

1) Temperature 33º C (Max.)

2) Permissible amount of sand 25 gm /m³ (Max.)

3) Chlorine ion density 500 ppm (Max.)

4) Allowable solids 3000 ppm (Max.)

5) Specific gravity 1.004 (Max.)

6) Hardness (Drinking water) 300 (Max.)

7) Viscosity 1.75 x 106 m² / Sec (Max.)

8) Turbidity 50 ppm Silica scale (Max.)

9) pH 6.5 to 8.5

PumpMultistage centrifugal pump with radial and mix flow impeller direct coupled to motor. The suction intermediate is fitted with strainer. The stage casing are connected to each other with stud and nuts, in some model the casing are strapped with tie bar to ensure perfect sealing and to absorb the torque. The pump bearing are water lubricated and screened against the ingress of sand. The motor cables run alongside the pump and protected against mechanical damages by metallic cable sheaths.

Motor“sabar” submersible motors are 2 pole squirrel cage induction motor has water lubricated bearings. It’s winding lies in water and is therefore intensively cooled. The motor is protected against the entry of well water and sand etc. The excess pressure due to the heating up of the winding and water filled in is compensated by pressure equalling rubber diaphragm provided in the bottom most side of the motor. The axial thrust of the pump is taken care by tilting thrust bearing which is designed for untoward thrust load. The pump shaft and motor shaft are rigidly connected sleeve type coupling.

ApplicationMulti storied building & industrial water supply systems, Domestic & Drinking water supply systems, Drip & sprinkler systems, Agriculture flow irrigation, Cooling water circulation systems.

Pump LiquidAll Pumps are only suitable for pumping clean, cold, fresh, non-aggressive, non-explosive water without abrasives, solid particles or fibers. Clear cold water shall mean water having following characteristics.

3) Chlorine ion density 500 ppm (Max.)

ApplicationThe Pumps range of end suction type pumps are designed for a wide range of application, including water supply, Agriculture, Farms, Industry, Horticulture and civil application.

GeneralSabar centrifugal Monoblock Pump’s Volute chamber and impeller are carefully designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency and suction lift. Most modern and sophisticated machinery and technology are employed in the manufacture of these pumps using quality raw materials, dynamically balanced impellers, Rotors, Seal and Ball bearings to ensure long life.

Sabar Monoblock pumps are powered by a totally enclosed fan cooled, A.C. Induction motor, suitable for continuous duty. Motor Stator is made from low watt loss laminations. Dynamically balanced rotor ensure vibration and noise free operations. The winding made of enameled copper wire offer excellent resistance. Shaft is made of quality steel, precision ground. Construction of motor frames and usage of quality materials result in high performance & low temperature rise thereby increasing

the life of the motor.

MotorThe Motor must be connected to an effective motor starter in accordance with load regulations. The Ampere scale of the overload unit of the motor starter should cover a range of which the maximum value is at least 1.1 times the motor

full load current.

Three phase A.C. induction electric motor

RANGE Standard 3 Phase Induction motors with rating 0.12 KW to 45 KW are available from frame sizes 63 to 225 with standard speeds and various types of construction.

STANDARDS Performance conforms to IS : 325 and dimensions according to IS : 1231 and IS : 2223

RATINGSMotors are rated for continuous duty type S1 at an ambient of 40 Deg. C and site altitudes of upto 1000 M above mean sea level.

VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY Motors designed are for a rated voltage of 400V +/-10%, 3 Phase, 50 Hz +/-5% supply. Motors with special designs of Voltage/Frequency can be offered on request.

PAINT Standard synthetic enamel paint is provided which is suitable for tropical conditions. However, special paint can be provided on request.

CONSTRUCTION Standard motors with single shaft extension are for horizontal foot mounting (B3 as per IS : 1231) and vertical flange / face mounting (B5 & B14 as per IS : 2223). Other types of construction as shown below can be offered on request.

INSULATION SYSTEM All standard motors are provided with class “B” insulation system. Motors with any other class of insulation (”F” or “H”) can be offered on request.

DEGREE OF PROTECTION Motors have Ip44 degree of protection as a standard feature conforming to IS 4691. Motors can be supplied with protection Ip54 as well as Ip55 on special request.

COOLING & VENTILATION Type of cooling is as per IS 6362. All motors have an external bidirectional centrifugal fan.

TERMINAL BOX All motors are provided with terminal box on the right hand side as seen from the drive end or on the top of the motor body. Terminal box can be rotated in steps of 90 deg.

NOISE Motors are designed for low noise level in accordance with IS 12065.

BEARING SYSTEM All motors are equipped with pre lubricated bearings. Regreasing facility can be provided on request.

EARTHING TERMINALS Two earthing terminals are provided in all the motors. Both on the stator housing. Terminal can be provided in T. Box on request.
