Aurora, Ontario - Aurora High SchoolPantalone had a big opening week for the 2-1Knights, recording eight points on seven goalsand one assist. He began the week with atwo-point game, with a goal and an assist, in Neuman’s 9-5win over King’s on Feb. 25. Three days later, in a 14-10 lossto Richard Stockton, Pantalone posted the hat trick with threegoals. In Saturday’s 9-8 win over Frostburg State, Pantalonewent for five points, on four goals and an assist, including thegame-winning goal with 3:19 left in the fourth quarter.

Cabrini Cavaliers (1-2)The Cavaliers suffered two heart-breaking losses againstTop 15 teams last week. On Wednesday, #13 Dickinsonscored the game-winning goal with just 6 seconds on theclock. Sophomore Matt Biegel led the Cavs with fivepoints, on three goals and two assists. Senior Brian Hillalso recorded a hat trick... On Saturday, Cabrini lost an-other one-goal game, 8-7, to #9 Lynchburg. The Blueand White cut the Hornet lead to 8-7 with 26 seconds toplay on Hill’s second goal of the day. Junior BobbyThorp also tallied two goals.

The Cyclones opened up their season with an impressive 10-3victory over Alvernia as freshman Joshua Caven led the Cy-clones with four goals and an assist while picking up a game-high nine groundballs and winning 14-17 of his faceoffs...Unfortunately the Cyclones fell to Richard Stockton in their sec-ond game, despite three fourth-quarter goals to bring the gameto within one before falling to the Ospreys 7-6. Leading the Cy-clones was defenseman Sean Lowe who had eight ground-balls and five caused turnovers to lead the game... This week,the Cyclones look to bounce back into action on Wednesdaywhen they travel to Lebanon Valley to take on the Dutchmen at4:00pm.
Gwynedd-Mercy lost a pair of games to regional op-ponents, kicking off the 2012 season... On Wednes-day, the Griffins suffered a 15-7 defeat at Franklin &Marshall. Nathan Pendleton scored twice and MasonRisner had a goal and an assist... Catholic Universitythen took down GMC, 11-5, on Saturday. Craig True-blood and Roy Bakeoven registered a goal and ahelper.
Immaculata opened the 2012 campaign with a three-gamehome stand. The Mighty Macs are 0-2 heading into the finalgame of the current stand against Albright on March 7... Theslate began with losses to Franklin & Marshall (23-1) and De-Sales (12-9)... Against the DeSales Bulldogs, Joey Shallowand Ben Tuscai each recorded four points, as Shallow hadthree goals and one assist while Tuscai contributed two goalsand two assists. Mike Boyd finished with two goals and oneassist for three points. Jordon Smith and Tayler Acree eachadded one goal to the scoring. Immaculata goalkeeper JonDiodati made 14 saves in 60 minutes of action... Tuscai leadsthe Mighty Macs in scoring with five points on three goals andtwo assists.
The Pacers dropped an 8-7 decision at Saint Vincent Col-lege in the team’s season-opener on Saturday as theBearcats scored the game-winning goal with just 1:19 toplay in regulation. Dante Frederico (2 goals) and JoeLaBella (1 goal, 1 assist) each had two points to leadMarywood’s attack and the Pacers got 14 saves fromNicholas Cornella. Nick Johnson and John Pelligrinitied for a game-high with seven groundballs each.
Neumann opened its 2012 season 2-1... The Knights opened theseason with a 9-5 win over King’s College. Neumann scored fourgoals in the fourth quarter for the win. Mark Consolo led theKnights with three goals... The Knights then fell at Richard Stock-ton College. Sam Maldou had four goals... Mike Pantalonescored the game-winner in a 9-8 win over Frostburg State Univer-sity. The Knights built up a 5-0 early lead, but the Bobcats workedtheir way back into the game and tied the scored late in the fourthquarter. Pantalone notched the game winner just a few secondsafter the game was tied. He finished the game with four goals...This week, the Knights will host Hood College on Friday afternoonbeginning at 5:00pm.
The Ravens will travel to Messiah on Saturday for theinaugural game in Rosemont men’s lacrosse programhistory.
Shenandoah Hornets (0-4)Shenandoah saw Sean Mack and Mac Hendrick each posta pair of three-goal games, but slow starts in all four of theHornets’ contests did them in as they began the year 0-4...Mack scored three times in Shenandoah’s season-opening14-6 loss to Frostburg St. on Feb. 18... Mack scored threegoals, while adding nine ground balls, in Saturday’s 12-4loss to Keuka... Tyler Quinn made 14 saves in a 10-4 lossto Hood on Feb. 22... The Hornets play a pair of non-con-ference games this week, traveling to Randolph-Macon onTuesday and hosting Elmira on Sunday.
