India being one of the fastest growing economies in the world has a great poten�al for growth in every sector. Logis�cs sector is the backbone of development and a strong and growing logis�c sector indicates healthy trend of growing economy. The impetus provided by the Government of India is expected to boost the economic growth and special focus on infrastructure will further help Logis�cs Industry to grow. As per the Economic Survey 2017-18, the Indian logis�cs sector provides livelihood to 22 million-plus people and improving the sector would facilitate a 10% decrease in indirect logis�cs cost, leading to a growth of 5-8% in exports. Further, the Survey es�mates that the worth of Indian logis�cs market is expected to reach US$ 215 billion by 2020 growing a CAGR of 10.5 percent.

Today, the Indian logis�cs sector is a sunshine industry and is going through a phase of transforma�on. With large mul�na�onals players entering Indian market with introduc�on of new technologies, the face of logis�cs sector is changing fast. India today is looking at developments in Logis�cs Services, Warehousing, Cold Storage, Shipping and Ports where huge investment are expected.

Confedera�on of Indian Industry (CII) along with CII Ins�tute of Logis�cs is

organising the 10th edi�on of its premier and exclusive exhibi�on “Logis�cs

2019” from 3 – 5 February 2019 at Praga� Maidan, New Delhi. The event

features the Exhibi�on covering all sectors of logis�cs industry and a Logis�cs

Summit. The event will be an ideal pla�orm for companies involved in

Logis�cs, Supply Chain, Transporta�on, Shipping, Warehousing, Material

Handling, Consultancy and IT related services to create more brand

awareness and to showcase their strengths to the user industry.

Logis�cs 2019 will be a concurrent event at IETF 2019, an Interna�onal B2B

event for Engineering and Technology. IETF is a premier industrial show

organized by CII since 1975. It is structured as a comprehensive B2B event,

segmented into well-defined relevant sec�ons of the engineering &

manufacturing industry.

IETF 2017 - RETROSPECT

The 22nd Interna�onal Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF) 2017, the flagship event of the Confedera�on of Indian

Industry (CII) held from 2-4 February 2017, Prag� Maidan, New Delhi, India. Shri Anant Geete, Hon’ble Minister of Heavy

Industry and Public Enterprises, Inaugurated the event.

Japan par�cipated as the Partner Country at IETF 2017 with 40 companies put up a large display of latest Japanese products

and technologies. Apart from Japan, around 500 companies from 25 countries par�cipate as exhibitors covering 40,000 sqm

area. The expo mainly focused on future technologies for eight industrial sectors - Green Mobility, Industrial Automa�on,

Logis�cs, Metal & Metallurgy, Real Estate & Building Technology, Water, Waste & Recycling, and Welding & Joining

Technologies.
