A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH

Congratulations to Bill and Rita Kaimann who were originally going to celebrate their 50th wedding Anniversary today. As was announced last week Archbishop Carlson has continued the suspension of all public Masses at least until

April 30th. We will continue to streamline Mass on Sundays at 9 AM on the school Facebook page at: Let us

continue to pray for the end of this pandemic, for those who suffering from the corona virus, all those in the health care, and all those who have lost those jobs during this time. we can get back to some sense of normalcy in our lives. Tom

Parr has purchased some small plastic bottles that are by the holy water font for any of you who wish to have Holy Water that we blessed at the Easter Vigil. I can hardly wait till we

can all be together for the celebration of the Eucharist.

God Bless, Father Rich

That’s powerful!

Listening to Catholic radio in your car or in your home will help smooth out any rough edges in your day and keep you on the right path during this season of Lent. Don't miss the opportunity to

pray the Rosary daily, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet and, of course, listen to the Word of God and pray along with the Holy Mass. In addition, programming includes live call-in shows, local programming and much more. Tune in to AM 1460 KHOJ, download the free Covenant Network App or listen on OurCatholicRadio.org.

Happy Easter season to our Immaculate Concep on Church family! We had almost 50 neighbors in need

come to the pantry on Holy Saturday. Even though we don’t open un l 8:30 am, we had people in line at 7:45.

There were a lot of happy faces as many parents and grandparents received alleluia baskets thanks to the second grade and Mrs. Messler, Todd’s mother. The

baskets were filled with books, games, toys, socks, and of course candy! In addi on to that, we provided over

800 pantry items to them including milk, eggs, and meat. We have received some very generous monetary

dona ons from our parish family and beyond. If you would like to help us restock, next me you are at the grocery store, this is what we could most use: canned

fruit, mac n cheese, spaghe o’s, ravioli, paper towels, toilet paper, jelly, 1 lb boxes of spaghe , and spaghe sauce, and cereal. To those of you who donated the first

me, thank you. It made a world of difference. We are so blessed to have your support. You are serving God by

helping his children.

DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER

Happy Easter!!! Remember, Easter is a season, not a day The season lasts for 50 days which takes us to Pentecost Sunday. It was so strange having Easter Sunday Mass, without you being there. I hope you were able to find a Mass on tv or the Mass we had on Facebook. If you watched our Mass, I spoke about how Mary Magdalen always wanted to be with Jesus. Do we share her desire to be with Jesus? Do we take time to talk to him, in prayer? Do we want to show our love for him by keep-ing his commandments? Can we give him back the love that he has given to us? Being human beings, that can be a struggle sometimes. We will fail. But guess what. Jesus knows that already and he is always ready to forgive us. Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. Just as he said while hanging on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." He forgives us for when we fail to show our love for him and others. Thank you, Lord, for your mercy. WE CAN NEVER GIVE HIM THE PRAISE HE DE-SERVES, BUT WE SHOULD DIE TRYING!!!!

God Bless, Deacon Neal

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

Receiving the Blessed Sacrament in the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith, but during these unprecedented times and to ensure the health and safety of all people, it is not possible to receive the Sacrament during this time. However, there are still opportunities to draw close to Christ and unite with the Church during these difficult times.

“The Church obliges the faithful "to take part in the Divine Liturgy on Sundays and feast days" and, prepared by the sacrament of Reconciliation, to receive the Eucharist at least once a year, if possible during the Easter season.” --Catechism of the Catholic Church §1389

While we are unable to receive the Blessed Sacrament during the next several weeks, we can take the opportunity to participate in Mass online, reflect on scripture, and engage in further spiritual reading. One excellent way to receive the blessings bestowed upon us is through a Spiritual Commun-ion. Below is a copy of the prayer that can be used. Mass from the Cathedral is being live streamed at 8am during the week and at 10 am on Sunday. The Cathedral Website is http://cathedralstl.org/live

Last year, we began a cemetery policy that on April 1st, if any-thing is not on the tombstone it would be taken down and put in Fathers garage. Some of things were put in there already. Some people just put some new stuff out there lately. Please, if it isn't on the stone, it will be put in Father's garage. If you are missing something, check there. Thank you.
