FUN DAY: for children ages 5-10 on Sunday,
December 10th from 1-3pm in the Youth Room of the Parish Centre. Come join in some fun with games,
crafts, stories, and a snack.
ONE MILLION HAIL MARY'S: Please help in supporting this worthy cause by praying "Hail Mary's" for our families. Total of Hail Mary’s prayed to date
is 421,764. Don’t forget to deposit the number of Hail Mary’s prayed in the box at
the front entrance of church or email them to [email protected] One rosary is 53 Hail Mary’s. Please indicate if you have prayed a number of rosaries or individual Hail Mary’s. PHOTO DIRECTORY: The deadline has been
extended for groups to send in their pictures until December 23rd. Once again, please send them
to [email protected] NOTE: If you know of someone in a seniors home or someone who is home bound who wants their picture in the directory, you can take a picture of them and send it to us along with their name to this same email address..
Pick up your pictures: Parishioners that have bought/ordered photos can pick them up on Friday, December 22nd and Saturday, December 23rd in the Marian Hall from 8:30 am - 4pm.
NIGHT OF JOY CHRISTMAS CONCERT: will take place on Sunday, December 17th at 6:30pm in the church. A free-will offering will be taken at the door for the Tabitha Centre (outreach to the
needy in the community) CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE: Christmas party at
Harbourside Lodge on Thursday, Dec 14th at 7pm. Come and share some Christmas cheer with the residents.
YOUTH GROUP: Reminder that the St. Ambrose Youth Group will not be taking place the rest of December. We will resume January 4th. For students in
grades 9-12, join us at the St. Ambrose Parish Centre from 7-8:30pm
PRO LIFE CALENDARS: The 2018 pro life cash calendars have arrived. The cost is $20.00 which gives you 16 chances to win $250.00. This is a major fundraiser for prolife activities in NS. It is sponsored by Respect Life centre in Antigonish. The calendars will be available after the Masses this weekend or you can contact Coleen Murphy 902-742-4924. CHRISTMAS FLOWERS FOR OUR LADY OF LOURDES AND ST. AMBROSE: Anyone wishing to
donate towards Christmas flowers in memory of a loved one may do so at the office or you can put your donation in an envelope with your name and

ADORATION CHAPEL: There is a very special place where Jesus actually resides where you can go and be alone with him. Quiet your soul in prayer or in
silence with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. He is literally waiting for you in our little Adoration Chapel. If you want a radical change in your life, this may be what you are looking for. CHRISTMAS MUSICAL EVENING: St. Ambrose’s 9am choir, along with the Tusket River Jammers, will be
performing a benefit Christmas concert for the Kay Nickerson Centre. Come join us at Temple Church at 5 Bond St. on Monday, December 11th at 7pm. A free will offering will be taken. ST. AMBROSE CHURCH SKATE: This is a free
church skate that is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus 2181. The skate is on Tuesday, December 26th from 1-2pm at the Mariner’s Centre. All are
welcome to join us and feel free to bring a friend. Hope to see many there! POT LUCK and COFFEE SOCIAL: The pot luck and
coffee socials are being held this weekend. The coffee social will be after the Saturday 4pm Mass, the Sunday 9am Mass. Following the
Sunday 11:15am Mass, we will be having our monthly potluck in the dining hall in the parish centre. Please bring a dish to share with the community. Members of the Knights of Columbus will be there to accept items. Please bring a friend. MOMNIPOTENT: next session December 11 at 7:15 in Jubilee Room COMMUNITY BREAKFAST: Sunday, December 17th

RECONCILIATION SERVICE: The Church asks us to go to confession at least once a year. If it's been a while, why not come out to our reconciliation service on Thursday December 14th beginning at 6:30 pm. Why not make this
Christmas extra special by experiencing the feeling of deep forgiveness that this sacrament can give.
LAST CLASS OF SUNDAY SCHOOL: before Christmas is Sunday, December 17th. Classes will resume in the New Year on Sunday, January 7th.

It will put you in the spirit of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ. Your donation at the door will go towards a new water conditioner to treat the new well.
