ed as the “Three Pilgrimage Festivals.” But literally, it just means, the three walking times. In ancient days, our people would walk to Jerusalem in pilgrimages to make sacrifices on these festivals. We don’t do that anymore, but we can learn from them by taking time to walk and think on these days. So, we are having walking days on each of these festi-vals. Join us for a contemplative walk and study for the first day of Passover, Tuesday, April 11. Weather permitting, we will meet at the main entrance to the Delcarte Conservation Area on Pleasant Street in Franklin, near Flintlock Road.

It will be time to pick up, rake up and spruce up the Temple grounds from a hard winter of downed tree branches and plowed up parking. Come for an hour or the day. Refresh-ments will be available - all we need is you and your rakes, shovels, saws and pruners. Also we are asking donations of Ornamental Grasses to line the driveways and walkways. Buy one or divide and dig from your home. Those can be dropped off at the Temple any time this spring.

Several weeks ago our very own TEC youth
group hosted a shul in, the first event of its
kind in about 10 years. For those who don’t
know what a shul in is, it’s a sleepover. We had
14 participants, not including staff, and for all
who participated it was an equally enjoyable
event. We had 2 programs lead by FROGY
members and our very own advisor Carl Shul-
man. The theme of our weekend was “Dreams,
Hopes, and Aspirations” during the weekend
the activities we took part in helped us to see
our own dreams, and to realize what we wish
would change for the better. We had a teen lead
service Friday night, with the theme of dreams
in which we incorporated many quotes about
achieving your dreams. Later that evening after
the adults had left we played icebreaker games
such as “I’m sitting on a chair” and “Haiduken”
both energetic and entertaining camp games.
After changing into our pajamas, we had song
circle and a late-night snack, then some down time to just hang out until lights out. In the morning, we had an amazing
breakfast and a morning service, afterwards we took place in our first program lead by Jenna Goodman, Abigail Pfeiffer, and
Jessica Giordano, in which we learned about each other’s dreams and tried to help others learn to achieve their own and
then we made dream catchers. Then we broke for lunch, which was donated to us by Grumpy’s and Joff’s, and then had
another song session. Afterwards we participated in a program lead by our very own advisor Carl Shulman which talked
about the way we view real life issues through art and how to express what we believe in and should stand up for. We made
paintings of issues we believed in, such as equality. Afterwards we held a Havdalah service and then the participating teens
went home. All in all, it was a great event, and everyone really enjoyed it.

Kathy’s Chocolate Martini
2 chocolate wafer cookies U Bet Chocolate syrup for drizzling inside the glass and the rim Ice 2 oz chocolate milk 1 oz vanilla vodka 1 oz creme de cocoa
Directions
• Place the chocolate cookies in a plastic baggie and pound with a rolling pin or wooden mallet until fine crumbs are formed
• Coat the center of a small plate with chocolate syrup in a circle. Sprinkle the crushed chocolate wafers over the chocolate syrup on the plate
• Turn a martini glass upside down and dip the rim of the glass in the mixture and spin back and forth, until the rim is coated
• Drizzle some chocolate syrup inside the glass, forming a swirling design and place the glass in the freezer
• In a shaker with ice add the chocolate milk, vodka and creme de cocoa. Shake well
• Remove glass from freezer
• Strain mixture into glass and serve
Jayme’s Key Lime Pie Martini
1 1/2 oz. Key lime liqueur
1 1/2 oz. Absolut Vanilla vodka
1/3 oz. Rose’s lime juice
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 oz. half and half
Coat the rim of chilled cocktail glass with lime and dip rim in a mixture of 2 tablespoons crushed graham crackers and 1 tablespoon pow-dered sugar. Set glass aside. Mix Vodka, Key lime liqueur, Rose's and fresh lime juice, and half and half in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously and pour into the set aside chilled martini cocktail glass. Serve.
Emily’s Caramel Martini 2 parts RumChata 1 part Van Gough caramel vodka of your choice Drizzle caramel sauce in glass. Shake with ice. Pour over. Top with shredded milk chocolate.

Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and serve!
Melissa’s Kick Tush Classic Cosmo 1 oz Absolute Vodka 1/2 oz Triple Sec 1/2 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice 1 oz Ocean Spray Light Cranberry Juice Ice
Chill martini glasses with ice and cold water. Place all the ingredients listed above in shaker. Shake the heck out of it. Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh lime slice. Enjoy!
