COURSE OBJECTIVESAt the end of the course the attendee should be able to:

• Define the anatomical and functional supports of the pelvic floor and their interaction in maintaining urinary and fecal continence and the prevention of uterovaginal prolapse• Recognize the factors responsible for pelvic floor dysfunction• Evaluate the patient with pelvic floor defects and identify what tests are needed for the diagnosis and treatment of her condition• Identify which surgical procedures are effective and how to perform the surgery for urinary incontinence, vaginal hysterectomy, and the treatment of anterior, apical, and posterior compartment defects • Discuss the complications, side effects, and risks of the current surgical procedures for urinary and fecal incontinence and uterovaginal prolapse

• Acquire knowledge in liposuction and autologous fat transfer techniques
