The 2nd International Electronic Conference on Entropy and its Applications online 15–30 November 2015 Chaired by Dr. Dawn E. Holmes University of California Santa Barbara USA online at We aim to publish a collective compendium of as- sessments on current entropy-related research, and want to present novel ideas in this scientific field. We invite scholars all over the world to present their ideas and current research concerned with conceptual and meth- odological developments, as well as new applications of entropy and information theory. We are looking for experts and scholars who would like to contribute their own knowledge and expertise, in order to exchange ideas and stimulate discussions within the community. The ECEA 2015 conference will cover timely research topics within the entropy related sciences, simultaneously approaching activities within both industry and academ- ia. The conference will cover specific areas related to entropy science, which provide an overall coverage from diverse sections of the field, and which will be chaired by well-known experts. Section A: Physics and Engineering (Chaired by Dr. Takuya Yamano, Department of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Science, Kanagawa University, Ja- pan). The main areas of interest of this section are: Ther - modynamics, Statistical Mechanics, the Second Law of Thermodynamics, Reversibility, Quantum Mechanics, Black Hole Physics, Maximum Entropy Methods, Maximum Entropy Production, Evolution of the Universe and relevant research. Section C: Complex Systems (Chaired by Prof. Dr. Giorgio Kaniadakis, Department of Applied Science and Technology, Politecnico di Torino, Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24, 10129 Torino, Italy). Self-Organization, Cha- os and Nonlinear Dynamics, Simplicity and Complexity, Networks, Symmetry Breaking, Similarity. Section D: Chemistry and Biology (Chaired by Prof. Dr. Alexander Gorban, Department of Mathemat - ics, University of Leicester, Leicester LE1 7RH, UK). Chemical Networks, Energy, Enthalpy, Maximum Entro- py Methods, Biological Networks, Evolution, DNA and RNA, Diversity. Section B: Information Theory (Chaired by Prof. Dr. Badong Chen, Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China). Shannon Entropy, Kullback-Leibler Divergence, Channel Capac- ity, Renyi and other Entropies, and Applications. About Topical Sections e-conferences. virtually anywhere. We aim to publish a collective compendium of as-sessments on current entropy-related research, andwant to present novel ideas in this scientific field. We invitescholars all over the world to present their ideas andcurrent research concerned with conceptual and meth-odological developments, as well as new applicationsof entropy and information theory. We are looking forexperts and scholars who would like to contribute theirown knowledge and expertise, in order to exchangeideas and stimulate discussions within the community.

The ECEA 2015 conference will cover timely researchtopics within the entropy related sciences, simultaneouslyapproaching activities within both industry and academ-ia. The conference will cover specific areas related to entropy science, which provide an overall coverage from diverse sections of the field, and which will be chaired by well-known experts.
