2nd Annual Stanley P. Bitel
Memorial Scholarship Fund
Golf Tournament
Hosted by
Stanley Bitel founded Rowley Spring and Stamp-
ing in his garage in 1954. Over 60 years later, his
legacy continues and the company still honors his
commitment to hard work, continuous learning,
and family. The Stanley Bitel Memorial Scholar-
ship, awarded for the second time this year, recog-
nizes students who share his entrepreneurial spirit
and commitment to self achievement. All proceeds
from today’s golf tournament will go directly to-
ward the scholarship. Thank you to everyone who
participated to honor Stan and his memory!
We would also like to thank the Main Street Com-
munity Foundation for administering and estab-
lishing the Stanley P. Bitel Memorial Scholarship!

Stanley Bitel started in the spring business in 1954. He began Rowley Spring in his garage with only a spring grinder, two coilers, four torsion machines, and a doz-en bench presses.
Within the year, he moved his business to Federal Street in Bristol, CT. In 1960, he purchased the former Bristol Technical High School on Riverside Avenue.
In the early 90’s, the company was looking to relocate again, having outgrown its present location on River-side Ave. In 1994, the corporation purchased a 150,000 square foot facility on Redstone Hill Road, in Bristol, CT.
Today, we at Rowley Spring and Stamping have suc-ceeded thanks to the values Stan demonstrated throughout his life. Our commitment to teamwork, technology, and training are the cornerstones of his life and our mission.
