“Art awakens a sense of real by establishing an intimate relationship between our inner being and the universe at large, bringing us a consciousness of deep joy."Rabindranath TagoreThe rich and magnificent culture of India cannot be explained without knowing the legacy of monarchs and art that thrived at various times under multiple influences. However as Dr. Coomaraswamy says, "Every art is different", in India it's observed very well. North, South, East and West have their own individual art styles. Number of prominent art institutions played pivotal role in establishing the rich history of India. The artists and art schools from India gave iconic styles. The art institutions and societies have established a noteworthy reputation by introducing and encouraging artists from various fraternities. Several other institutions like Bombay Art Society, Lalit Kala academy, Art society of India, State Lalit Kala Centre etc. Are presenting platforms for upcoming and professional artists. Newly established organization includes Kala Uday Society which is a Non-Government Organization situated at Kurukshetra, Haryana. It works in the same manner as the other organizations. The Society also provides to a young artist or a participant, a daily group art talk, presentations, discussion with eminent artists and press attractions during the Workshop/exhibition for the betterment and bright growth of our young generation who want to explore their career in art world. In the last year I was invited as a guest artist and the show was well organized with a proper schedule and detailed catalogue. I would like to appreciate and congratulate the committee members of the society for their initiatives. We wish them best for the years ahead.

Rabindranath Tagore had a vision of a liberated human being ,an artist , which could be realized only through an educational approach based on creativity in which the aim of every activity is the affirmation of the unity within the individual's personality and the unity of all humanity . A single minded focus on the idea of “the contemporary” marks the 2nd All India Art Exhibition 2018 being organized by Kala Uday society . Each year Kala Uday has been providing a platform to promote excellence in various dimensions of visual art. Their endeavor is to bring together all the visual art mediums. This bridges the gap between the art creator , the critic and the art connoisseur . For the student of modern art history the exhibition allows a thrilling opportunity to come face to face with the art of contemporary artists under one roof.
The exhibition at the galleries of the Fine Arts Museum is not concerned with the retrospective analysis , instead it records live , as it were , mirroring the contemporary art created by artists who dwell more extensively on new trends rather than a re-excavation of the past . Wishing all the artists associated with the Kala Uday Society the best for the 2018 art exhibition .
