Create:2D work of art & turn into a 3D work of art
To begin the project:
Submit at least 5 different sketches of monster designs
a) sketches do not have to be coloredb)Sketches do not need to be shadedc)THEY DO NEED TO BE FULL BODY
Sketches are due by November 11 at the end of class.
Together we will choose the best monster for you to do. Next, we will begin making the 3D Monsters. You must stick with the design chosen, no going back once you begin.
Start working on color choices. Decisions, decisions…what looks good together, favorite colors,Mood of your monster.
Next, while the clay is drying (before firing) we will start working on our 2D drawings of the Monsters. Drawing can be of the head or full body but needs to fill up your space. Drawing Will be appr. 6 x 6 inches. Drawing will need to be colored with quality colored pencils and Have shading elements.
Clay must be done by November 21 in order for it to dry over the break
Once clay has dried and been fired we will do one of the following:
Glaze clay (shiny, bright)Color with another media (matte, any shade, tint, or tone)
crayonsmarkeroil pastelpaint
Colors need to be accurate to your 2D drawing.
