This afternoon we begin our half day tour with lunch in one of Norfolks beautiful local garden. Your island guide will relate Norfolk’s intriguing history of the first convict settlement in 1788 to the present day home of the descendants of the Bounty Mutineers. Journey onward to the Melanesian Mission, then onto the historic area of Kingston, site of some of the best collection of Georgian architecture in the Southern Hemisphere. Drive up to the picturesque Queen Elizabeth Lookout for a wonderful photo opportunity, then north to the old whaling and landing area of Cascades before a leisurely return to Burnt Pine. This evening we do ‘Fish Awas Way’ (Fish our Way). – Enjoy Island style fish served three different ways – fried, curried and Tahitian. Also enjoy a collection of salads and some local Island dishes too, followed by delicious dessert and tea/coffee. All of this in the comfort of a local Island home. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 – SUNDAY - AT NORFOLK ISLAND – NORFOLK ISLAND SUNDAY MARKETS,

FLETCHER MUTINY CYCLORAMA, TONIGHT - BAUNTI DIEH DINNER This morning time will be allowed to browse the Norfolk Island Sunday Markets at leisure - very popular with visitors for the local handicrafts, then this afternoon we take in Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama – a 360 degree panoramic painting of how the world’s most famous mutiny on HMS Bounty created the Pitcairn and Norfolk communities. Two local artists took 16 months to paint the Cyclorama and with an evocative soundtrack composed by musician Rick Robertson, history comes to life at this must-see attraction. This evening enjoy the Baunti Dieh dinner – a delicious meal of home grown sustainable produce, served in one of Kingston's historic buildings. (B,D)

DAY 5 – MONDAY - AT NORFOLK ISLAND – HISTORY IN THE MAKING TOUR, MANAGERS COCKTAILS, SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW This morning we take the ‘History in the Making tour’ learn about the history of the various settlements of Norfolk Island, and how those settlements lived and survived – the Polynesians, the first European settlement of 1788, the convict penal settlement of 1825, and the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders in 1856. Finish the tour in an island home which includes a small working museum. This evening meet the Manager of the Paradise Hotel and Resort and enjoy a glass of the cocktail of the day and canapés before dinner in the hotel. After dinner we transfer to the Sound and Light Show. This is a must for the history lover with a sense of the dramatic! Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the Convict Settlement with the dramatic use of real life sound together with theatrical lighting and costumed actors as you are taken through the decades of Norfolk Island’s horrific convict era.
