FOOD (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2005

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Food Act 1983 [Act 281], theMinister makes the following regulations:

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Food (Amendment) Regulations

2005.

Amendment of regulation 384

2. The Food Regulations 1985 [P.U.(A) 437/85], which are referred to as theprincipal Regulations in these Regulations, are amended in regulation 384 bysubstituting for the words Sam Cheong the words Sam Cheng.

Amendment of Fourteenth Schedule

3. The Fourteenth Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended in Table I bysubstituting for column (6) column (5).

Amendment of Fifteenth A Schedule

4. The Fifteenth A Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended-

(a) in Table I, by inserting after the substance Progesterone the followingsubstance and particulars in the appropriate columns:

Amendment of Sixteenth Schedule

5. The Sixteenth Scheduleto theprincipal Regulations is amended-

(a) in respect of pesticide Carbendazim in column (1), by substituting forthe figure 3 which appear in column (3) against the word Mango incolumn (2) the figure 2;

(b) in respect of pesticide Cypermethrin in column (1), by inserting afterthe words Cocoa beans in column (2) and figure 0.05 in column (3)

the word Fruits and figure 2 respectively;

(c) in respect of pesticide Endosulfan (sum of alpha and beta endosulfanand endosulfan sulphate) in column (1), by inserting after the wordsCocoa beans in column (2) and figure 0.1 in column (3) the wordFruits and figure 2 respectively;

(d) in respect of pesticide Metaldehyde in column (1), by inserting afterthe words Rice(milled or polished) in column (2) and figure 1 in

column (3) the following words and figures in the respective column:
