    1 29 Drop Call Breakdown ObservationDrop Call Breakdown observation collects statistics on the dropped calls. The detailed data of drop is collected when the drop occurs after the ASSIGNMENT_COMPLETE message. The focus of the observation can be either the breakdown of counter DROP AFTER TCH ASSIGN or the breakdown of counter CLEAR REQUEST SENT BY BSC ON TCH.

    If the focus of the observation is breakdown of DROP AFTER TCH ASSIGN, the obser-vation data is reported when the TCH drop occurred between messages ASSIGNMENT_COMPLETE from BTS and DISCONNECT from MS/MSC. If the focus of the observation is breakdown of CLEAR REQUEST SENT BY BSC ON TCH, the observation data is reported when CLEAR_REQUEST message is sent to MSC between the ASSIGNMENT_COMPLETE from BTS and CLEAR_COMMAND from MSC messages.

    The observation is activated on BSC level and drops are recorded per TRX. The Drop Call Breakdown Observation data is stored to an observation report disk file and sent to NetAct in an observation file.

    Drop Call Breakdown Observation is optional.
