The proposed Conference is being organized jointly by REEMAP and OMCAP, Government of Andhra Pradesh.This conference will provide a good forum for the Overseas Employers to interact with the State Government representatives and put forward their point of view and raise issues related to recruitment of India workers of Overseas Employment. The conference is expected to open issues in Overseas Recruitment and solutions to improve the quality of manpower of Andhra Pradesh. Enlighten the leading Foreign Employers from the 6 GCC Countries and Singapore about the availability of trained manpower in various sectors such as Construction, Hospitality, Health Care etc., from Andhra Pradesh State. Enlighten them about the Schemes and initiatives taken by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for Skill Development, Skill up-gradation and Pre-departure Orientation training programmes. Create awareness about the Procedures adopted for promotion of regular migration. Existing framework for skill upgradation for emigrant workers The Andhra Pradesh Government has undertaken a mission of REEMAP. The objective of the mission is to train and place 15 lakhs people. Implementation of REEMAP (RYK)

Promotion of overseas employment for migrant workers

The Objectives of OMCAP include

Improving labour relations between employers and workers

The RYK programme is implemented by entering into appropriate partnerships with training providers, Apex Industrial Associations.The Scheme will be implemented through various Vocational Training Providers under the Government, Public and Private Sector and Industrial establishments.

Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) is a recruiting agency promoted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories. The OMCAP is Governed by the Board of Directors of senior IAS officers and professionals. It is headed by the Hon'ble Minister of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories of Andhra Pradesh State as Chairman.

OMCAP, vested with the agenda of making available skilled and unskilled manpower to various overseas employers has embarked upon the concept of setting up a workshop cum conference, wherein the stake holders get an opportunity to meet and deliberate on the various opportunities and challenges confronting them.

OMCAPunderstands and recognizes the gap between prospective employers' need for manpower and the availability of such pool of manpower in India that is ready to be usefully employed in a credible manner.

To provide a data bank of skilled and unskilled manpower to the overseas employers.

To provide perfectly trained candidates with state-of-the art in-house training facilities ensuring highly productive candidate to make the employers feel worth-the-hire.

To protect the overseas job aspirants in the country from exploitation from unauthorized and unscrupulous placement agencies.

To protect and aid with his advice all intending emigrants and emigrants.

Inspect, to an extent and in a manner as may be prescribed-any emigrant conveyance, or any other conveyance if he has reason to believe that any intending emigrant or emigrants are proceeding from, or returning to India: to or from a place outside India by such other conveyance

Inquire into the treatment received by emigrants during their voyage or journey to, and during the period of their residence in the country to which they emigrated and also during the return voyage or journey to India and report thereon to the Protector General of Emigrants or such other authority as may be prescribed.

Aid and advise, the potential emigrants and returnee emigrants of Andhra Pradesh.
