Generosity is commended. Interest is compounded. Giving is rewarded. Family is extended.

In conjunction with our 30th Church Anniversary celebration today, Shekinah is pleased to make a special gift donation of S$30,000 to the following 10 beneficiaries (each to receive S$3,000):

• Overseas 40%: Our mission partners in Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Israel.

• Local (VWOs) 30%: Teen Challenge, Christian Outreach to the Handicapped, and Focus on the Family Singapore.

• Local (Disciple-Making) 30%: Acts College, Arrows Resources (Ps Benny Ho), and Church Life Resources (Ps Philip Huan).

Ultimately, our generosity stems from God’s generosity to us. It is His love for us which enables us to love Him and to love others. He is the Source of our love.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your amazing generosity and all the good things you have in store for your people in Shekinah. Thank you for the example of Jesus, who though He was rich, became poor. Empower us as individuals and as a community to follow your example and to excel in the grace of giving. Help us to imitate your generosity and learn to give without expecting anything in return. Help us never to be satisfied with the level of our giving but always to seek to become more generous. Thank you for the amazing promises you make to those who give generously. Thank you that it really is true that, as Jesus said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’ (Acts 20:35). Amen.
