Truck body builders have said that they are saving one to over two hours drilling time behind the truck’s rear wheels using the HMD115 over conventional frame drills. Contractors and maintenance people are also saving time drilling in hard to reach places where clearance is limited. The HMD115 maintains a constant low profile because of its patented rigid quill feed which also prevents tool vibration and eliminates gib adjustments.

The drill’s arbor design featuresbayonet-style push and turn tool mounting and uses RotaLoc™ Annular Cutters so you can change sizes in seconds without the need of any tools. There are 17 metric cutter sizes from 12mm to 27mm and 10 fractional sizes available from 1/2" thru 1-1/16". A 16mm diameter cutter will drill a hole through 9mm stacked plate in 45 seconds. And best of all, RotaLoc Cutters outlast and outperform conventional holemaking tools. The unit features two feed handles and rear-positioned controls to optimize ergonomic operation. It has removable handles for drilling in extremely tight quarters. With the handles removed, a hex head allows use of a socket wrench for ratcheting the feed.

The HMD115 is an ultra-low profile, lightweight drill with a patented quill feed arbor that eliminates gibs and slide/way adjustments. It uses Hougen RotaLoc™ Annular Cutters with push and turn style shank. For safety, the motor switch must be continuously pressed during operation and the motor will not run without the magnet switch “on”. Rear mounted controls optimize ergonomics.

Slick-Stik™ is soft for easy application, superior adhesion to the tool, assuring thorough coverage.
