Naolekar, a retired Supreme

Court judge has raided bribe takers and

their unaccounted wealth like a man on

a mission.

Madhya Pradesh has turned into the

corruption capital of the country after

lokayukta and Economic wing Raided

civil servants and police officers like

IAS couple Arvind - Tinu , Arjun Das

Lalvani, Grade II clerk, Madhya Pradesh

Power Electricity Board, B.K Singh,Chief conservator of forests, Ujjain,

Umesh Gandhi, DIG Prisons, Bhopal,

Amar Nath Mittal, Health director, Mad-

hya Pradesh, Raman Dhuldhoye, Clerk

at the Road Transport Office, a Class III

employee. The cases are still under in-

vestigation. Few among these people

have approached the SC and submitted a

petition against the decision. The deci-

sion is still pending.

But allegations prevail against

Naolkar that he is helping friends in

power . He was sworn in as Lokayukta

on June 29, 2009. RTI activists claims

that Information related to the

Lokayuktas appointment is unclear .In

the absence of exact information, only a

broad guess can be made of what

Chauhan may be trying to hide from

public.

Naolekar went to the Lokayukta office

and promptly took up a case for speedy

disposal. It was not a case that had been

pending for long. The case that Naolekar

took up was related to Ravi Nandan

Singh, an old friend (both belong to Ja-

balpur). Besides, in his capacity as the

Advocate-General at the time, Singh had

played an important role in Naolekars

appointment as the Lokayukta. Needless

to say, the complaint of land grabbing by

fraudulent means against Singh was dis-

missed expeditiously by Naolekar.

He has since been showing great zeal in

helping friends in power. He submitted

the closure report on the Dumper

Scam case against the Chief Ministeron the most ridiculous grounds and in

utter disregard to the documentary evi-

dence annexed to the complaint. The

special judge RPS Chauhan was only too

happy to dismiss the complaint. Any re-

spectable person in Naolekars place

would have resigned when a junior

judge (compared to his status as a for-

mer Supreme Court judge) repeatedly

snubbed him and asked him to see the

provisions in the law in the Sugnidevi

College land scam case involving indus-

tries minister Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan was on a ten-

day tour of Hong Kong and China and he

had included not only industries and

commerce minister Kailash Vijay-

vargiya but also Lokayukta Naolekars

son Sandip Naolekar in the official dele-

gation in 2012 .

Suresh Seth, who is the complainant

against Vijayvargiya and others in the

Sugnidevi College land scam case, has

submitted to the special court at Indore

that Sandip Naolekar is the managing

director of Darling Pumps, the company

which has been engaged by the Chauhan

government to supply sewage pumps to

the department of environment and ur-

ban development (which possesses the

crucial documents relevant to the com-

plaint against Vijayvargiya and others)

The Lokayukta pointed out that so far

it has brought more than 100 corrupt of-

ficials to book.Will Naolekar would in-

vestigate these cases against the high

and mighty with honesty ?
