Facebook post that listed about 60 countries where Filipinos can go visa-free.

After sending queries to Philippine embassies and consular posts, the DFA would only confirm 20 countries. But its publicinformation office added that they are still waiting to hear from some overseas posts.

GMA News Online also called up embassies of countries missing on the DFA list and filled gaps in the information. The information provided in the viral Facebook post supposedly came from the International Air Transport Association (IATA),Qantas, Wikipedia, Visalink, and VisaHq.ph.

The map below shows visa requirements of each country with a pin. Pin color legend: yellow - visa required; pink - Schengenvisa required (Europe); green - visa-free for a certain number of days; blue - visa upon arrival valid for a certain number ofdays.

With this story about no visas, the next thing you have to consider is the humiliation at the immigration counter whenthey start interrogating you looking for visas while all the people behind you waiting for their turn wondering what iswrong with your documents. Well, you can still succeed in leaving probably after so much negotiation how much youneed to throw away to be able to leave. I will not fall for this news not because they are not true but because of somedishonest ill-mannered people at the immigration counters.....

She let me pass and I thought the problem is over, but before we reach the gate, another womanasked me where will I go. I answered her I'm going to HK, Who's with you? she continued. I said, "My fiance."And OMG, she also interviewed my fiance and even told him to take care of me and ask if we have enoughincome. So HASSLE! Can't they just stamp our passports and let us through since we have planetickets?????? Now, that we're planning to visit Cambodia this January, I should prepare pain reliever again asthey will cause so much headache.

I mean of course they need a proper paper because they will not justallow you to pass even if you have that paper. it's for formality sake. If you were in their place you'd dothe same its a policy. you cant just enter just because so dont complain if they didnt stamp yourpassports immediately. You came in their with a paper hand written ticket plan what do u expect lol

Most airlines use a ticket reference number if you have the reference numberyou should be allowed into the airport. Airlines only require you to know the reference numberthat's all you need. However when I traveled to Morocco recently the immigrationofficer didn't let me pass because they wanted a printed boarding pass issued in thecounter so had to beg the emirates staff to issue one for me. Good thing though was Ichecked in online. So to avoid the hassle get all you documents ready when travelingand check the procedures at the airport where you are traveling from. I travel frequentlyfor work.

Nobodycan enter the immigration hall with just a passport and an eTicket number, how muchmore at the airline's designated gateway. Your boarding pass needs to either manuallypass through the machine or check manually by the airline ground staff to pass throughthe gate. Have a safe flight everyone.

There's nothing wrong with being prepared. If you insist your way, then it'sup to you. Just don't expect that every immigration officer you meet will bend overbackward to accommodate you.

In most of the countries i go directly to the check in counter and justpresent my passport without a printout ticket simply because they have the info there. And in the immigration counter in other countries, as long as u have the Visa, or tocountries that don't require Visa they just stamp it. I traveled the whole world too, andthe weirdest is our immigration. Most will just hold and delay you, nakakaawa talagahow they treat people especially the first timers! Then eventually you know what theywant. One of the many many situations is when I went to Brunei; I've been there acouple of times already, then the Immigration officer asked me where is my Visa? Iasked her back; "What Visa are you talking about? I've been there a couple of timesalready, dito lang ako sa Pilipinas hinanapan ng Visa. Even in Brunei they don't ask methat!" That's really weird! Then she stamped my passport and let me go. What if safirst timer nangyari yun? I'm almost sure maraming ayusan na magaganap.Nakakalungkot, let's all pray that it will change... I still have high hopes. I love ourcountry.

You have to have identification, like your passport, whenyou check-in, Then they give you a boarding pass (in advanced countries, online check-in is allowedand you just show the pass on your smartphone). So based on her story, she reached theimmigration counter in NAIA. So it means she has a boarding pass at that point. If that is so, then sheis right to feel frustrated why this officer is asking for an itinerary?! Why do you need that when theboarding pass would clearly show the destination (Hongkong in this case). That's really justharassment and this person has a right to express her indignation. Why are some of the people herescolding her? Sure, printing it to avoid being harassed by ignorant and arrogant immigration officials isan option. But if she chose not to, she did nothing wrong, and has a right to protest such treatment.
