    a. Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates (with the above minimum scorein the CWE conducted by IBPS and possess a valid score card issued by IBPS), who have applied toour Banks vacancy notification and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the TWS andas decided by the Bankshall be called for interview. b. Mere eligibility/obtention of specified marksin TWS shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview. 6.1 Interview: a)Theinterview shall be conducted to assess the personality traits having bearing on interpersonalcompetence, emotional stability, adaptability, courtesy, self confidence & temperament, positiveattitude towards work/ people and communication skills etc. Maximum marks for interview shall be100 with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% in case of Reserved Category candidates as perGOI guidelines.) 6.2 Final Selection: Final selection will be on the basis of the merit rankingreckoned after adding the marks obtained in the Total Weighted Score in the CWE and Interview.

    A rank/merit list of candidates in the descending order of merit, category wise, based on the totalmarks obtained by them in the above two criteria, shall be prepared state wise and the final selectionshall be in the descending order of merit and as per GOI guidelines. (b) Low vision: Pewith low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatmenstandard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planor execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. (c) Hearing Impairment: Hearing Impairmmeans loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies(i) Locomotor disability: Locomotor disability means disability of the bones, joints or musleading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.Cerebral Palsy: Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characteby abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-nata

    infant period of development. (iii) All the cases of orthopaedically handicapped persons wouldcovered under the category of locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. (e) DEGREE OF DISABILFOR RESERVATION: Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in posts who suffer fromless than 40 per cent of relevant disability. A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservawould have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the format giveAnnexure- 5. Separate admit cards wilissued to the scribes accompanying the visually handicapped candidates. Admit card should conthe particulars and photograph of the scribe duly signed by him/her. MODE OF SELECTION: 9.1 Written Test followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of candidatesfound successful in written Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination. There will not beany Viva-voce. Entire proceeding of PET shall be video graphed. 9.2 Candidates who fulfill theeligibility conditions will be called for a Written Test. A separate call letter indicating date, time andvenue will be sent to all the eligible candidates. 9.3 Written Examination: Written Examinationconsists of objective type multiple choice ( 4 options) question paper based on 10th class standardto assess the general knowledge/awareness/mathematics /reasoning etc. 9.4 The question paper willbe printed in Hindi, English, Urdu and Maithili. 9.5 Negative Marking: There will be negativemarking for marking wrong answers. 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 9.6 PhysicalEfficiency Test (PET): Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will bequalifying in nature. The criterion for the PET is as under:- For male candidates: Should be able torun for a distance of 1500 meters in six minutes in one chance. For female candidates: Should beable to run for a distance of 400 meters in three minutes in one chance.9.7 Only those candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be called for the Physical Efficiency

    Test (PET). The number of candidates to be called for PET will be three times the number ofvacancies or as per the extant rules. The candidates will be called for PET in order of merit in thewritten examination. A separate call letter indicating date, time & venue will be sent to the qualifiedcandidates to appear at the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). 9.8 The candidates will be called for theverification of the original certificates based on the merit of the written examination. 9.9 RRC/ECRwill not be liable /responsible for any loss/injury/damage, whether direct or consequential, suffered/incurred by any candidate during the selection, including PET. Candidates are advised in their owninterest, therefore, to ensure that they are physically and otherwise fit to undertake the selection andobserve due care to avoid injury/loss/damage to either themselves or others during the process ofselection. 9.10 The persons with disabilities are exempted from appearing for PET. 9.11 The finalrecruitment panel will be strictly based on merit position obtained in written examination. 10GENERAL CONDITIONS: 10.1 Candidates before applying should carefully read the instructionsand ensure that he/she fulfills all eligibility conditions at the time of submission of applications. 10.2The number of vacancies shown in this notification are provisional and the same is liable to increaseor decrease depending upon the actual needs of the administration. 10.3 Selected candidates areliable to be posted anywhere in East Central Railway. The list is only illustrative and not exhaustive. 12.1 Applicationsreceived after the closing date and time. 12.2 Indian Postal orders not enclosed or issued before thedate of notification or Indian Postal Order(s) for lesser amount than Rs. 40/- is enclosed, whereverrequired. 12.3 Applications not in the prescribed format or which are incomplete in any manner. 12.4
